His Friend’s Birthday
Ethan attended his classmate’s birthday party last Saturday. It was a great start to the school holidays.
This is the second birthday party he attended this year. It was held in the evening at a condo, by the poolside so we joined him there.
The first birthday party Ethan attended this year was held during the day at a KFC outlet so we just dropped him there and came to pick him up later.
I am glad I decided to join Ethan this time. At least I get the chance to know his friends and some of their parents. I don’t really know Ethan’s friends or their parents as the Daddy is the one who usually spent time at school with him. The Daddy attended the Parent-Teacher Day. He is also the one to send and fetch Ethan from school hence his friends all know the Daddy but not me.
I finally get to meet these handsome young boys at the party.
They are such a chatterbox. I sat there the entire evening listening to them speak. They speak really good English; not Mandarin eventhough they attend Chinese school.
It was such a joy to see them. It reminds me so much of my school days.
Yup, all BOYS! Such a headache seeing so many of them
Can you guess the theme of this birthday celebration?
They even have a Pikachu pinata.

I took pictures of Ethan and his classmates. They are all going their separate ways next year. None of them here will be going to the same class as Ethan. He is a bit sad about it but luckily there is still one boy (who is not at the party) that will be going to the same class.
Seeing Ethan with his friends made me realised that he is such a big boy now. I am always nagging him at home but after seeing him with his friends that day, I realised I need to give him more space now. They play a huge role in his life. They are also a big influence to him. I am glad I met them. I finally understand Ethan through his friends and I am happy he has good and well-mannered friends.
Why are kids these days all so good looking? Something that they eat?
Hahaha! Kids were good looking back in our age oso la Arthur :P
Nowadays it is a trend to have piñatas at parties for children. Why are all his friends going to different classes except for one?
Since Primary 1 to 3, they have been in the same class. Primary 4 onwards, they are reshuffled and placed in classes based on their results :(
He sad for now only, two weeks into the new school year he will fly like a rocket with new friends… XD
Kids these days are indeed lucky hor?
Macam macam ada for birthday… ;)
This is such a warm post that reminds me of how my mother took care of my needs at school. She was the only mum who baked cakes and asked me to share with the whole class. It was very unheard of thing during my time. I am glad you found comfort by attending the poolside party. Your son has grown up so well and will be independent soon. My mother always told me that she still wished to care and fuss on me after my marriage. I politely told her to continue to be my beloved mother….
Parents nowadays are more caring & more understanding :)
