i-City, City of Digital Lights
Continuation from my i-City Red Carpet post, today I’ll be writing on the City 0f Digital Lights.
i-City, especially its City of Digital Lights is a popular weekend and public holidays’ destination hence the place is always extra crowded then. If you are local, try to go there on a weekday. Kasi chance to tourists lah. But having said that, I always go on a weekend also because weekdays are quite hectic with school work and all.
The main attraction here at City of Digital Lights is obviously the one-of-its-kind ‘lightscape’ illuminated with over a million LED lights.
City of Digital Lights @ i-City is having free entry now. What I was not aware of is that they also have an outdoor theme park here. For RM20.00 for Malaysia MyKad or RM40.00 for Non-MyKad during the promotion period, you can enjoy unlimited rides.
Operation Hours is from 5pm-12am
Here are some of the rides we took. Most of the rides we took have a minimum height of 90cm and thank goodness Ayden just touches 91cm so he is able to enjoy the fun too.
Our favourite ride is the SpaceWalk @ i-City.
This is the best way to explore this place as we are taken on an elevated rail track ride through the City of Digital Lights.
Each car fits two persons. The view from up here is simply amazing. We get to see the entire City of Digital Lights and mark which rides we should go next. It also comes with individual music selection so you can choose your preferred music to take you through the ride.
We went through this ride THREE times. Ayden kept requesting for it hence we kept going up for this. Since we get unlimited rides, why not right?
My attempted wefie with Ethan in our SpaceWalk car but my arms are just too short, can’t see anything behind me >_<
The next ride we took as a family is the 2-Tier Carousel.
We rode on the second level. It is always more fun to be at the top coz it is not always we get to ride on a double tiered carousel and also the fact that many others are simply too lazy to climb up so we practically have the entire place to ourselves.
Adults are allowed to ride too so guess who is the happiest there?
The next ride we took is as shown in the picture above. I don’t know what it is called but it is just next to the 2-Tier Carousel so Ethan and I dashed over as soon as we got down from the carousel. Ayden is too young to ride on this one so he sat aside with the Daddy while Ethan and I rode this.
Look how happy Ethan is. I got dizzy after several rounds >_<
The above ride is suitable for little children.
Adults are not allowed so Ethan took the responsibility to make sure little brother Ayden is secured properly.
One person on each ride, I am surprised Ayden is brave enough to ride alone.
Ethan accompanied Ayden for this ride. Ayden enjoyed it a lot.
Ethan also accompanied Ayden for this Desert Train ride. Minimum height is 90cm and Ayden just barely made it. Haha.
Ethan and I rode on the above ride. Sorry, I just can’t remember the name of some of the rides. Ayden is too young for this so he had to sit out with the Daddy again.
The Dancing Waters is also a nice sight. It made me want to dance along with the songs that goes with the water and laser show.
Both the boys had a great time here. Do drop by if you are around here. You’ll just have to pay the RM20 for the unlimited rides or just enjoy the lightscape for free as entrance is still complimentary at the moment.
I’ll be writing on SnoWalk next but before that, do check out my post on i-City Red Carpet if you still haven’t.
Thanks for the recommendationtoo bad we haven’t the time nor the opportunity yet.will wait for Stanley to reach 91cm too I supposejenuh lah ni nak tunggu.wanna babysit??
Very colourful.
I have read so much about this i-city place but has yet to visit it yet.
