Tabung Warisan Anak Selangor (TAWAS)

We finally did it. We finally registered Ayden for the Tabung Warisan Anak Selangor (TAWAS). The closing date for registration is before the child’s 3rd birthday. Ayden will turn 3 on the 31st and as usual it will be a public holiday so 30th is the last day to register him for this. We successfully registered him on the 29th when we actually had 3 WHOLE YEARS to do it! We are champion when it comes to doing things on the 11th hour.

Procrastination is the culprit lah. I’ve always known about this TAWAS but never got about to do it until today

Anyway, for those of you who are not aware, TAWAS is Tabung Warisan Anak Selangor.

syarat permohonan TAWAS

If your child is born in Selangor from 1 January 2008 onwards, he/she is eligible for this programme whereby if you register your child, he/she will be entitled to a fund of RM1500 when he/she reaches the age of 18 years old.

Both Ethan and Ayden are born in Selangor but Ethan is not eligible for it as he was born in 2007, before our state government implemented this programme.

Ayden is eligible under SYARAT KEDUA whereby he is born in Selangor but both his parents are not BUT have been a Selangor residence for a minimum for 5 years. To prove this, all we need is the stamp and signature of our Pengerusi Taman Perumahan. THIS was the reason for our procrastination as although I have been living in this neighbourhood for over 10 years, I do not know who our Pengerusi is. LoL!

Yesterday, I asked a neighbour and to my surprise, the Pengerusi is the father to one of my student

Apa lagi, I immediately printed out the form from here -> and sought his help to pen down his signature and our neighbourhood stamp.

Today, Darling drove all the way to Kompleks Belia Dan Kebudayaan Negeri Selangor, Shah Alam to submit the form.

There are in fact several other locations you can submit your form but the above, though is quite a distance from us are actually the nearest to us.

Upon submitting the form, we were given Ayden’s membership card.

Sorry, I edited Ayden’s MyKid and Simanja’s number out for privacy purposes.

Yeah, that’s it. It is actually a very simple procedure. I am glad we managed to get it done before Ayden turns 3 tomorrow!
