Tea & Tattle @ Damansara Uptown

Tea & Tattle cafe is well-known to Ipoh folks especially families with kids. You can see parents enjoying a good pot of tea while the children happily eating and playing with their unique teapots.

Tea & Tattle has now landed in the Klang Valley with their first outlet in Damansara Uptown.

The eye-catching yellow building is easily spotted from the LDP.

As soon as we enter, the boys are drawn to the cakes.

The good news is, they are having this promotion of 50% off any slice of cake with any tea in a pot purchased.

So lets order our pots of tea before selecting our cakes 

With over 140 of teas here, it takes a while to decide what I want but fret not as there is a complete guide to their teas available. 

If you are unsure, you can ask them for recommendations too and they’ll gladly bring out the tea containers for you to see and smell before deciding. 

So I sat down, see and smell most of them when the Moroccan Rose tea caught my eyes.

Moroccan Rose tea (RM16 per pot / refillable)

This is dubbed the beauty tea (so now you know why I chose this ). This soothing herbal tea consists purely of rose buds and petals. With a brewing time of 7 minutes, it gives out a flowery aroma and a full rosy taste. This caffeine-free tea is very refreshing and calming.

Sweet Memories (RM16 per pot / refillable)

A perfect blend of green jasmine tea, white peony tea and black tea scented with rosebuds and osmanthus. The boys love this as it tastes very similar to those premium teas you get in good Chinese restaurants.

The unique teapot ensures there are no spillage. Just place the pot on the cup and it will automatically fill it up.

The boys kept pestering us to finish up our tea just so they can help pour more tea into our cups! 

Besides tea, they also serve good food.

The Sausage & Egg Boat (RM20) is easily a hit with the boys.

It is a baguette filled with chicken sausages, eggs and cheese and baked until hot and toasty.

It is served with this refreshing breakfast salad that consists of garden greens, grapes and walnut.

My boys love pasta so it is no surprise that they ordered spaghetti. But what happens when the big one wants red sauce while the younger one wants white sauce? We ordered both 

Seafood Spaghetti – Bolognese and Carbonara (RM28 each)

Prawns, plump green mussel, squid and broccoli (among other ingredients) gives this pasta the flavours of the sea. The spaghetti is also generously sprinkled with black pepper so if your kids can’t take the heat, then be sure to inform the chef to omit it when you order.

Salmon with Lemon and Dill (RM42)

This is supposed to be Darling’s dish but because we forgotten to inform the chef to omit the black pepper in the spaghetti, the Daddy ended up switching his salmon for Ayden’s spaghetti but it is all good because the portion is quite generous so they both can share it.

This salmon dish is a winner. It flakes easily yet still very much moist and silky. We love this a lot and will definitely come back here for this again. 

As for me, I ordered this new item on their menu – Firecracker Chicken (RM23) that comes with a generous slab of meat with fiery flavour that is sure to explode in your mouth. It has this amazing combination of sweet and spicy flavors, with a hint of tanginess that makes me want to eat more. The boys love the corn and helped me eat the rice as I don’t usually take rice. The garden salad complements this dish pretty well. 

This Ethan just can’t stop pouring tea.

Snowflakes (RM14)

This super soft, light and fluffy coconut vanilla sponge is one of their signature cakes here. Packed with coconutty goodness, the added coconut extract gives such a delicious fragrant to it. 

New York Cheese Cake (RM16)

This creamy, tangy baked cheesecake is Ethan’s favourite. Smooth, rich and dense, it is absolutely delicious.

American Chocolate (RM14)

This cake is microwaved for 10 seconds until the chocolate ganache flows out!  Who can resist THAT?

Moist and chocolatey with decadent chocolate frosting that is easily anyone’s favourite. I’m glad that the cake is not too sweet. 

Look at the boys eating signature cakes while drinking premium tea. We are enjoying the school holidays to the max. I’m sure they won’t be sleeping early tonight. LoL!
