Dynabook Grade Exam
I remember Ethan coming home from school asking us money for a computer exam fee last year. I don’t remember if he did it in Primary One. I don’t keep track on all these. He explained that not all students are selected to sit for this exam. I remember just giving him the money.
Early this year in March, Ethan told me there will be a Grade Exam Certificate Presentation at SJK C Yuk Chai and seek our permission to attend. Unfortunately, I had commited to a job outstation that weekend hence we were unable to attend.
Last week, Ethan came home with a certificate and a trophy. His teacher collected it on his behalf.
Apparently, he got Distinction in Desktop Publishing in that Dynabook Grade Exam.
I know nothing about Dynabook Grade Exam. I thought it was an examination conducted by his school but he told me it is nationwide and 20 schools participated in the exam in year 2015. He also told me that apparently it is a big deal to achieve distinction in this exam
That is the difference between having a child to TWO children. When Ethan was the only child, I know EVERYTHING about him but since I became a mother of two, I kind of lose track on many things. He asked for money for fees, I pay without asking further. As long as I see the fee slip from the school and know it is legit, I pay.
After Ethan showed me his certificate and trophy, I googled for Dynabook Grade Exam and saw the post on the ceremony. OMG. So many parents proudly attended the certificate presentation. I felt so bad. Sorry Ethan
He will be sitting for another exam this year and hopefully I will remember to be more supportive then
I dont think my kids’ school has this…..interesting. I know that they have a computer class but not this exam.
Well done to Ethan.
Wahhhhhhh!!!! Congrats, Ethan. Must be papa’s genes hor? Muahahahahaha!!!!!
Ahhaha…me like you too. Pay and make sure they get the receipt back. And then bring back the certs of attendance.Once, the big one got a trophy for her robotic project and I have no idea what she did for getting it.
Congrats to Ethan! Good that he did not make a fuss when he couldn’t go to attend the award ceremony.
Congrats to Ethan!
Desktop publishing at his age? That’s good though, I remember doing it in high school too. It was a big thing to produce newsletters back then.
