Test of manhood.. urm… manliness

A boy is considered a man when some parts of his body are fully developed. However, there are people who believe that a man can only be called a man if he is brave and has done something big to earn the righteous title.

In my household, my boys are automatically upgraded to men if they can complete one task – killing cockroach. I am extremely scared of cockroaches. I will sream my lungs out if I ever see one.

I spotted a cockroach today. I freaked out. The Daddy wanted to kill it but Ayden insisted to try. Ayden is ever so curious and wants to do everything the Daddy does. The Daddy lets him. I freaked out even more!

BOOM! Quite accurate this Ayden! He ‘piak’ the cockroach until it flew a feet away. I almost dropped my camera as I could not see where it went! I screamed so loud I think my neighbour almost called the police *:-S worried

See the cockroach is still moving! Oh my!!!

test of manhood cockroach

Piak Piak Piak! Die liao lor…

He was so gung ho initially that he did not feel afraid. Only after the cockroach has died that he felt ‘geli’ and quickly threw the newspaper away and ran to the living room! LoL!

I jokingly told him to pick the cockroach up and throw in the bin but he will not do it. Even if he agrees, I won’t let him do it! *shiver*

He got the cheeks to ask me if I caught his action on camera as he wanted to show it to big brother Ethan who is fast asleep upstairs. Very proud lah he. Killed his first cockroach. Big brother Ethan has not kill any cockroach. He is as afraid of cockroach as much as I am. It will take some time before he can be a man! Hahahahahaha emo29-1

    Hehehehehehehe!!! Boys will be boys.

    • //

Not all boys love to piak cockroach lu. Ethan wont do it I’m sure. But after he sees this maybe he will! Lol

  • //

Woi, I think the correct word is manliness. Manhood is… like… you know that Samy Vellu joke, kemaluan… :/

    • //

I thought manhood also means “the qualities (such as strength and courage) that are expected in a man”? OMG now you make me so ‘kemaluan’… Huhuhu. Anyway, added the ‘manliness’ in the title liao. Thanx ah Samy :D

Need more men to take care of mummy in the house.

I am alright with cockroach but if mouse, I will be jumpy. Or even lizard. haha.

Well done Ayden. Can show off to kor kor liaw. Hehe.

    • //

Ish if mouse, I’ll run out of the house! Lizard oso I geli. The eyes, I kenot tahan look into their eyes.

  • //

I am not afraid of cockroaches, instead I afraid of lizards more. I find lizards more “geli”. I dare to kill cockroaches without jumping up and down, but I dare not touch lizards, and I will scream if I accidentally see them close to me.
My elder girl is like Ethan, she basically scares of everything. My younger is braver like Ayden, After I killed the cockroaches, she would help me to pick them up and throw. Kekekeke!

    • //

Yeeeeer.. how can a girl be so brave wan? Haha. I read also my bulu all stand up.

I am afraid of lizards too. I kenot tahan look into their eyes. Like they trying to talk to you like that >_<

I hate hate hate cockroach!! Last time I was kinda scared when I see one, but after becoming a mom, I will do anything just to kill them!!

    • //

Fuh! Hebat! I still cant get myself to kill them. I will scream first and by then all cockroaches will be flying everywhere!

  • //

Like that, I am a man in your household la because I kill cockroach and throw them away myself.

    • //

@_@ Not afraid? Not even a little? Gasp!

      • //

When I ran after them to kill them, nope, not even a little bit afraid. But when I sleep I use ear plugs cos I am afraid little baby cockroaches may climb into my ears.

  • //

I’m the one who kill cockroach in my house :)

    • //

Hard to believe leh? You wor… How come? Haha.

  • //

I always kill cockroach. See one, must kill one. But that doesn’t make a panda a man hahaha!

  • //

I also don’t like cockroaches. I’m not afraid of them though. It’s more like a startle and disgust reaction coz cockroaches are dirty. I’m afraid of spiders though, won’t even go near a big one. I don’t mind killing cockroaches and have always done so for my better half and the kids but I don’t like it if it suddenly appears beside me in the toilet at night. The black and brown things just look so dirty. -_- I’ll be startled and then I’ll kill it and wash my hands thoroughly (and also flush the cockroach).
