Chicken Floss Loaf Bread
My breadmaking mojo is BACK! This time I experimented with the leftover chicken floss from Chinese New Year =.=
Ingredients for 700g of Chicken Floss Loaf:
120ml water
150ml fresh milk
2 tbsp oil
1 tsp salt
3 tbsp sugar
2 cups bread flour
1 cup self-raising flour
1 tsp breadmaker yeast
1 tbsp butter
Add the ingredients into the breadmaker in the following sequence:
Water
Milk
Oil
Salt
Sugar
Flour
Yeast
Butter
Set the breadmaker to Sweet Bread with Medium Crust and press Start.
After the second knead is done, take the dough out of the breadmaker.
Flatten and spread the dough into a rectangle.
Sprinkle chicken floss all over it.
Roll the dough back.
Place it back into the breadmaker and leave it to rise and bake.
The workmanship may not be so beautiful but this chicken floss bread is excellent! It is soft and fluffy and remain moist and soft up to Day 3 kept in an air tight container in room temperature.
Try it and let me know if you agree with me that this recipe is a keeper :)
Update:
Finally managed to record a video tutorial of this easy chicken floss bread. Do watch:
Haha! I have the same bread maker.
I actually have a lot of pork floss from Taiwan that my dad didn’t finish. It’s about to expire so I think I’ll follow your recipe and make a loaf of bread with floss inside. It looks good. Would be nice to just spread mayo and eat it like that.
I redeemed this breadmaker from BonusLink and has been experimenting a lot since then. My first few loafs are only soft on Day 1 and got hard as a rock the following days. I am proud to say I have finally got the perfect recipe for soft and fluffy loafs even on Day 3 :D
May I know what brand is your bread maker. Been wanting to buy one. Too many brands in market now
