Activities for Toddlers in KidZania

We brought the boys to KidZania today. I was surprised that we needed to pay RM39 for Ayden to enter and play too. I asked them what can a 2 1/2 year old kid do in KidZania? To my amazement, they told me there are 19 activities suitable for toddlers in KidZania. Ethan’s entrance fee is RM80 (9 year old) while both Darling and I are RM39 each for parents.

So let’s check out what are the activities Ayden did today.

The first activity that caught the boys’ eyes is Fire Fighter so we quickly made our way there.

But first, they will need to go to the bank to cash out their cheque. They will need Kidzos to survive in there.

#1 Fire Fighter

At 11 something a.m, the queue is already building up. They had to wait 40 minutes for this activity. I was surprised that Ayden can sit still for the entire 40 minutes!

Alolo so cute this Ayden in the fire fighting uniform!

Going up the fire truck.

Putting out fire.

Ayden loves this!

So, so cute! LoL! So cute lah to see him so tiny there but so focus!

The first time big brother Ethan stepped foot in KidZania was in 2012. He was 4+ y.o then. I made this video of him fighting fire and it got quite a good number of views on YouTube.

As you can see, their uniform is different now.

#2 Window Cleaner

Just like big brother Ethan, Ayden loves this activity. Big brother Ethan has frequented KidZania at least 4 times prior to this and will never fail to be a window cleaner but let me tell you one thing – he NEVER clean the windows in our house! >_<

Ayden insisted on doing everything himself, from spraying water..

To washing the window…

To drying it.

Pass lah! The next time you come to my house, you’ll see my windows are all squeaky clean :D

They are most excited when they get paid for their hard work. Ayden thought it is real money and is very proud to finally be earning money!

#3 Construction worker

Look who is the supervisor and who is the kuli here. LoL!

#4 Mechanic

The boys love cars so obviously this is one of the must-do.

It is nice to see Ayden being able to interact with the Zupervisors here.

#5 Electrician

Ayden wanted to be an electrician too. He wanted to climb and fix light bulbs too but he is not allowed to do that as he is too little. He can however help to hold the strobelight and lead the way to the location of power failure. He is very happy nevertheless.

Big brother Ethan helped to fix the light.

Up, up and away! Ayden is seen here admiring his big bro Ethan. I know he wants to be up there too but he’ll just have to wait several years more :D

#6 Shopper

Next job is the easiest – to be a shopper.

While Ethan gets to be the cashier.

Here they are – a shopper and a cashier :D

#7 Prisoner

LoL! This one is free wan ok? He is not paid to stay in jail! Kesian only the face like that… Hahahahaha!

#8 Vitagen factory

This one also their favourite lah. Vitagen what! Every time go shopping also must buy Vitagen wan…

Today they get to make their own Vitagen! Of course happy lah. They won’t get paid for this but they’ll have to pay 6 Kidzos to enter instead.

At the final stage – bottling the Vitagen.

Nah… my boys and their own bottle of Vitagen. So happy tu, can’t wait to drink!

#9 Pilot

Queuing to fly an aeroplane!

A bit tough to get pictures here because parents are not allowed to enter and this area is secluded. Ayden is already quite sleepy as it is already over 2pm. He did not want to put on the pilot uniform.

Once they get into the cockpit, they are totally hidden from me. The only way I can see them is from the TV screen outside so yeah, that is the only picture you’ll see coz I am reluctant to spend money to buy photos from them. Entrance tickets already so expensive. Food is also expensive. Spent over RM100 for food. So sorry lah, not gonna buy pictures -.-

We ate at Damakan. The food here is quite pricey and the service is extremely SLOW. We had to wait for more than 15 minutes for our food.

That’s about it! Ayden managed to complete NINE jobs on his first day in KidZania. Not bad! Ayden wanted to be a Fire Fighter again but by now the queue is horrible so we did not let him go again.

We still had about 2 hours to kill but Ayden is already tired and refused to do anymore tasks so Ethan went ahead to do more jobs on his own. He went to learn some Magic tricks. He paid 8 Kidzos for that.

He also paid 10 Kidzos for wall-climbing.

He also tried to be a Secret Agent. I did not get to take pictures as the only way I can see him is through this screen.

So brave this Ethan to jump down from so high! That is the life of a Secret Agent!

Ayden enjoyed his first KidZania experience and pestered us to bring him over again. He said he wanted to ride on the fire truck again. I told him it is quite pricey leh for the entire family to go again and again and that this is a treat reserved for birthdays and special occassions only. Then he answered me, “but we earn money in KidZania what… ”

Is this Ayden first kidZania experience ? My kids are yearning to go there too!

Sigh… I wrote such a detailed story. Obviously you did not read through :(

  • //

Yeah, that’s the worst thing about KidZania…the food is horrible, it’s expensive and it’s slow. Sometimes no place to sit also coz it’s full of non-paying customers. On the plus side, can always eat the sushi that you make yourself. Haha.

The thing is, Sushi King is no longer there. It is replaced by some Recycling Centre. Even the Mary Brown is no longer there, being replaced by McD which was closed on the day we visited. The Ayamas sandwich was also closed. The only ‘food’ establishment was Vitagen on the day we visit :(

      • //

Interesting! I didn’t know that. That was one of the most popular places coz the kids can eat their own creation. Haha!

Wow! McDonald’s! I must visit soon coz I haven’t heard about all these new places. Vitagen I know. What about the Cadbury upstairs?

Seems like Ayden likes being a firefighter best! Aiya, Ayden is such an obedient boy, no need to go into prison lah. Next time no need to go to prison, ok Ayden! :D Ethan obviously can do more tasks and enjoy himself more. Both of them must say a big thank you to their mommy and daddy for bringing them there.

The mummy and daddy can’t feel our legs anymore at the end of the day. It is so tiring to stand and wait for the kids the entire 6 hours @_@

  • //

Gee..I did not spend a lot on the food. I got the kids some nuggets and hot dog. We stayed until 6.30pm and by the time we get out, legs were wobbly already. Starving inside..ahhahah.

Yea…so upset most of the food establishments have been closed. I thought Sushi King was the best cos you get lot of sushi to eat after they have completed the job.
