Gong Xi Fa Cai
Thank goodness Chinese New Year is only celebrated once a year. It is so tiring to prepare for CNY (this coming from me who doesn’t even cook for the reunion dinner). We tried to shop for clothes a month in advance but it was so difficult with the two boys tagging along. They always got distracted by their surroundings especially the Lion Dance performances. This year we managed to catch the Lion Dance for more than five times. The boys very happy lah. They can sit there for a good 15 minutes waiting for the performance to start. You have to sit there early otherwise you wont have space to see.Â
The above pic is Ayden trying to catch the oranges tossed by the Lion. He saw the Lion throwing lokams here and there and he quickly put up his hands trying to catch one. Hehe.Â
The above pic was taken today, our final shopping day. I managed to buy a blouse, Darling bought a pants and the kids… haih.. the kids bought this:
A scooter for Ethan and ‘I dunno what that is called’ for Ayden to keep them occupied in the kampung. Ethan can even bargain with us saying he will pay us back using his angpow money! Tsk tsk..Â
The boys also love to watch the Chinese musical performance in front of Parkson and will pester us to bring them there everytime we go shopping. They will also ask us for money to contribute to the donation box each time they are here.Â
Bought a matching tee for both Ayden and Ethan just for the sake of the word HAPPINESS printed on it.
Last but not least, went to grab some lokams, packet drinks, cookies and some other stuffs before heading back to kampung tomorrow.Â
Every year we told ourselves to start early so that we don’t need to do things last minute but every single year we ended up doing things on the very last day!
Anyway, Gong Xi Fa Cai to all my lovely readers. Have a lovely festive break with your family and loved ones.
I’m still under 5 feet tall so yes, you can still give angpow to me :D

That scooter is cool, I had one for April when she was only 2 years old, when May was born, I got another for May too. Now, I gave away both of the scooters.
I don’t think I will give away this as I myself am enjoying riding it. LoL.
