Flavourful Abundance with Sakae Sushi
One of the boys’ favourite sushi restaurant is Sakae Sushi. The huge and smiley green frog always entice them to enter. We dine here often as they serve reasonably priced Japanese food. Come here on a Sunday and chances are you might bump into us as Kids Eat For Free every Sunday at Sakae Sushi.
Ayden’s favourite green frog
It is always our pleasure to attend Sakae Sushi’s CNY preview. This year, it is even better as it is held in their 1Utama’s outlet, my second home!
Fortune Salmon Yee Sang
Sakae Sushi’s all-time favourite Fortune Salmon Yee Sang is a tantalising Japanese-inspired take on the traditional yee sang dish. It is masterfully prepared by Sakae’s chefs using luscious and fresh air-flown salmon, accompanied with a variety of authentic Japanese ingredients such as seasoned jellyfish, Mekabu seaweed, radish and more.
Sakae’s delectable yee sang is topped with a unique and appetising citrus-infused sauce, complementing perfectly with the fresh ingredients used to fully bring out the flavours of this prosperity salad.

Ayden got himself the limited edition Fortune Rong Rong and Lucky Mon Mon and an Ang Pow after our bountiful dinner.
Happy boy Ayden went home contented and ready to add Rong Rong and Mon Mon to his collection of Sakae Sushi’s plush toys.
There! The boys’ collection of Sakae Sushi’s plush toys! We can set up a frog (and monkey) museum already. LoL!
No outlet in Sibu, only in Kuching. I wouldn’t mind ordering their yee sang for our reunion dinner. I wonder if there is anybody coming home from KL or from Kuching, can takeaway…minus the salmon, I can add my own.
Lovely plush toys, cute monkey…but my girl loves frogs!!!
Oh that’s too bad. I hope they’ll consider opening one in Sibu in the near future.
So tasty! How come there are so many of the same set of plush toys (4 Rong Rong and 4 Mon Mon)? You all went to eat there 4 times?
We eat here every week, especially Sundays. Haha.
Oh! The yee sang is back!! Hope to try it this year. Missed out last year. Yummy treat. Now this green frog also become my kids’ fave sushi place.
Hahaha. Ayden was so cute, holding the bag. Wow! So many plush toys!! I never bought any when dine there. Maybe I am not so into such stuff and the kids did not insist on buying them. ^^
Sakae Sushi is always my favourite! I love mentai mayo, yums!
I always love their Hotate Mentaiyaki, huge, juicy and savory!
PS: wow, I wish I can have that Monkey plush toy too, so cute!
I got the plush toys too and thought I was lucky… So it’s pretty easy to get the plush toys, eh? Have u got any of the food vouchers?
