Ethan eating spicy food
I love spicy food. I always go maximum when it comes to eating spicy food. Maybe because I grew up eating delicious Nyonya cuisine but Darling is not so adventurous. He can’t tolerate too much spiciness. The only thing spicy in his life is ME :P
While most kids his age can eat chili, Ethan doesn’t eat spicy food as he is as ‘lousy’ as his Dad. They get sore throat easily so Darling is always restricting him from eating chili but when I am at home with the kids while Darling is not around, I’ll sneak something spicy and get Ethan to try it. So far, he fared very well with curry fishball and eats it quite frequently for lunch.
The other day when we were shopping, there was this sampling of MAGGI Royale. It was the Penang Seafood Curry flavour I think. Ethan wanted to try it but I told him it might be too spicy yet he was determined. Darling was very surprised that Ethan wanted to eat this.
He ate it all! He blogged about it in his blog and said he finished eating it until he exploded! What a way to describe… >_<
The other day during dinner, he said he wanted something different from his usual noodles and asked for something spicy.
Darling ordered this yellow curry fish for him.
And he ate it all!
While I had this sotong yellow curry. Woo hoo! My son can eat spicy food dy! Now I can go jalan-jalan cari makan sedap-sedap with him dy. The Daddy can stay home eat noodle soup alone :P

Must learn, must learn, anak nyonya – true blue peranakan…must know how to eat extra spicy food. Yummmmm!!!!!
Very nice! I just had curry squids yesterday. My Jan does not take a single spicy food otherwise she keeps gulping down water into her throat.
Seeing your curry squid photo reminds me of my lunch in the office yesterday. I got the curry squid too from the cafeteria, it was cold and totally not spicy at all. If left me in a foul mood for the rest of the day >.<
Well done! Loves it when children can eat some spicy food. Add so much more yummy food into their food adventure list. =)
I am a spicy food lover as well, now training Aden to be one too, haha!
Bravo Ethan! Can eat spicy food now.
