Chopsticks Level Up

It has been a very hectic weekend for us. Out in the morning and only coming home at night on both Saturday and Sunday. Not much time to go online but that’s okay coz that only means that I am enjoying my life offline. You know I am miserable if you see me online 24/7 :P

Anyway before I snooze, I have a milestone to share. Ethan’s milestone. This boy of mine has finally mastered the art of eating using chopsticks! He first tried using training chopsticks back in 2013. I blogged about his training chopsticks here. After that he found it too difficult and stopped using it until today when he suddenly took a pair of chopsticks and tried using it. He told us that majority of his friends in school can already use the chopsticks except him so he wanted to try.

Angcle Peoh

Surprise surprise! The chopsticks suddenly came to life and started grabbing food for Ethan!

He can even grab fishballs using chopsticks. He got extremely excited and exclaimed, “How come I suddenly know how to use chopsticks wan?” I oso dunno my dear son. Maybe you’ve been practicing in your sleep?

When did you master using chopsticks? I learnt to use chopsticks in Secondary school. A Malay friend taught me. As Chinese as Darling is, I am actually better with chopsticks then he is. When we dine out, you’ll see me using chopsticks while he will be using the fork and spoon. Mat Salleh sesat my husband.

If at first you fail, try and try again… I can’t eat rice using hand though – no matter how I tried. I would get rice all over my face. :(

Well done! When there is a will there is a way.

haha!! it’s good that you can hang out for leisure for the whole day on weekends, rather than having to work over the weekend.. ooopsss, or you have been working throughout for the sponsors?? hehe..

good boy Ethan!! now the next level of using chopsticks is to use them to pick up peanuts and tofu~~ :p

Until today I am still a chopstick noob. I can use chopstick, but my holding method is unorthodox. And my success rate with fishballs is 50% >.<

Bravo Ethan! It’s important to master the chopstick skill since we are Chinese, hehe!

Well done Ethan! My chopsticks skills are not very good, but good enough to bring food to my mouth =)

Can’t really remember when I master the skill but until now my chopsticks holding method is not correct but don’t care lah, as long as I manage to grab what I want to eat!

Well done, Ethan. I still don;t know how to use chopsticks. I grabbed food in the ‘X’ style like scissors …. not the correct way…hahha…

Well done Ethan! After fishballs, it is time to pickup peanuts with the chopsticks.
