Sakae Sushi Salmon Yee Sang
Chinese New Year is less than a month away. We are getting busy spring cleaning, making angpow lanterns, shopping and more to usher the 2015 Lunar New Year. It’s also a must for some to buy a box of Yee Sang to toss at home with the family on CNY day. Same goes for us.
Last Saturday, we were at Sakae Sushi not to tapao their Yee Sang yet but to dine in and lou sang with friends.
Let’s take a look at our no-frills yee sang that conveniently come packed in a box, ideal for takeaways and gatherings.
Sakae Sushi’s Fortune Salmon Yee Sang. Available in two sets for 1-2 persons (RM29.80) and 6-8 persons (RM49.80). Doesn’t matter if we are taking it away or dining in, the yee sang will still be served in a box.
Now let’s toss to prosperity, health and happiness. May 2015 be a better year for us all. Huat ah!
Beside those thick slices of salmon, there are seasoned jellyfish, scallop, seaweed, radish, sesame and more in that box of yee sang.
We also had bento meals that afternoon for lunch.
Chawanmushi, a must have when dining Japanese for me :D
Miso soup, a must-have for Ethan.
Each of us had this same bento set that consists of:
Succulent half shell scallops grilled with cod fish roe.
Chicken.
Beautifully crafted flower rolls with delicate raw salmon petals and sushi rice centre topped with mayonnaise and a luxurious sprinkle of shrimp roe. Simplicity at its best!
One thing I love about dining at Sakae Sushi is for their simplicity and affordable pricing. Of course, the kids love it for the kids meal and the big green frog. In fact, Ethan is already pestering me to bring him there for the kids meal coz I did not get him one that day during the lou sang session…

Okay lah. We shall go again soon :)
Ooooo…so cute the frogs!!! I want!!!!!
The Yee Sang looks great, I must go and try.
I want the frog more than the yee sang. ^^
I am looking forward to the yee sang dinner this coming Saturday with my friends, hehe!
