Breaded Chicken Meatballs on Mini Skewers
Ethan celebrated Children’s Day in his school last Friday. He was told to bring a food item and he requested for Ayamas Breaded Chicken Meatballs. He ALWAYS requests for this. Last year during Children’s Day in his kindergarten, I prepared him the same thing. I find that these chicken meatballs makes a very good party finger food.
Ayamas Breaded Chicken Meatballs.
I woke up a little earlier that Friday morning to fry 2 packets of these chicken meatballs.
I used toothpicks as mini skewers.
This is for children’s party. They can’t eat much. Two balls on each skewer is enough.
Nicely fried and threaded in place.
2 packets of these chicken meatballs yield around +/- 140 pieces of meatballs. Darling complemented that these balls looked evenly fried :D Why thank you!
In the evening when we fetched Ethan back from school, this was what is left of those chicken meatballs.
Wow! I expected to have lots of leftover but I guess the kids must have loved them lots. Maybe the teachers too. I told Ethan that maybe because they are on skewers, they are easier to eat but Darling had a greater theory. He told Ethan that because these chicken meatballs are threaded on toothpicks instead of a real bamboo stick, everybody especially his teachers would want to eat them and use the toothpick to pick their teeth after that! He even demonstrated to Ethan how he ate those chicken balls and pick his teeth there after.. And both of them laughed like crazy after that! Tsk tsk.. the people I have to live with everyday :P
Nothing goes wrong with meatballs for children. I never try Ayamas meatballs before. Love its fried drummets though.
Oh yes! I love them too but I find it a little more hassle to fry them as I sometimes get blood on their bones still :(
What’s wrong? I pick my teeth with satay or lok lok skewers all the time. It is a perfectly logical explanation! :D
@_@ I don’t lor. Maybe it is a guy thing? Haha. Girls too polite to use satay sticks to pick their teeth lah. Toothpick is more discreet :D
I like the normal chicken balls for this brand, don’t like the deep fried ones :(
I havent try the normal chicken balls. Will try to get it this weekend :)
Hahaha, Ethan’s father has such an imaginative mind. Do you need to defrost the chicken meatballs before you deep fried them?
Hi Mun, we do not need to defrost those chicken meatballs. Straight from the freezer into the hot oil :)
Then your life will be filled with laughter everyday, how nice~
aiyoh, looks so nice and no wonder the kids berebut-rebut wallop all the meatballs!! ah, good to see Ethan is bringing back leftover so much less than you expected huh??
So cute ! How i miss celebrating Children’s Day in school…
