An evening out at the movies
One of the perks of being a Nuffnanger (Nuffnang blogger) is the opportunity to attend exclusive movie screenings. Before the arrival of Ayden, we brought Ethan to these screenings often but I stopped going when I was 6 months pregnant with Ayden ‘coz by then my bump was very obvious and it was getting difficult to hide it. We had not been to the cinema since then. I kind of feel pity for Ethan as he kept telling me his friends watched this and that yet he did not get to watch any of them.
Since it is the school holidays now, I decided to attend these exclusive screenings again and the movie to start us with is none other than The Penguins of Madagascar.
My family and I at GSC, 1 Utama.
I realized that I must make it a point to go out meet people more often because you know what happened when I was collecting my tickets? One of the Nuffies wanted to get a picture of our family but he did not know my name. He politely asked me for my name and when I told him, his jaw dropped to the floor saying, “Oh my goodness I’m so sorry but you look so much smaller in real life. I did not expect you to be so small!” Coming from someone named Jack and the Beanstalk, it is no wonder he finds me small :P Hahahahaha! Okay I’m so lame that I had to laugh at my own joke >_<
Anyway, it was also Ayden’s maiden cinema experience and it started off so well.
He was seated there so nicely with the Daddy, paying full attention to the screen until half way through he started to get restless. I took him out from the hall for him to walk around.
He kept coming here for a picture and my phone ended up having over 30 shots of him here as he insisted for me to take his picture again and again and again.
I did not miss much of the movie though as I managed to watch the first half before Ayden got restless. Then I took him out for a while before bringing him back in again to watch from the isle at the side of the hall. Overall I think we spent only 1/4 of the time out of the hall so I think it is still okay. The main purpose here was for Ethan to enjoy the movie and he did.
As for the movie itself, it is nothing much to shout about. It was hilarious how they incorporate famous Hollywood names into their script and I super love the part where the penguins disguised themselves at the ‘zebra crossing’ but that’s that. Watch it only if you are really still a kid at heart.

Hah! I always liked the penguins in Madagascar, good to see the spin off movie is here.
I watched the first two with online streaming. I guess I will do the same with this one :D
I think Ayden is going to be a model when he grows up. He likes to pose for photos! I like the two previous movies so I will watch this one too but missed ice age the whole series.
You are not small la…just petite and sexy ! :)
