Golden Palm Tree Iconic Resort & Spa
It’s the year end and I am sure most of us have holiday plans all planned out waiting to be executed. With Ayden around we do not want to be travelling too far so we decided on a quick retreat about an hour away from home recently.
Our choice of destination – Golden Palm Tree Iconic Resort & Spa, soon they’ll be known as AVANI Sepang GoldCoast Resort.
A piece of heaven on Earth but I read numerous reviews about how their food is not up to par so we did not dine here. We drove about half an hour out for our meals.
The room is neat but not entirely clean as it is pretty dusty under the bed and sofas. Can you see how much space in between the bed and the floor? Get your kid to crawl under and he’ll come out ‘whiter’ than ever!
Can you see the difference of the floor under the sofa and the floor outside? Can you see the dust under the sofa? The cleaners here obviously did not bother to bend down to sweep or mop under the sofa.
The shower room. You may choose to shower with an audience or if you are a little bit shy, you may pull down the blinds :P
The spacious washroom.
I love the super huge mirror!
Coffee and tea making facilities.
Personalized greetings on the TV.
I don’t usually bother with the mini bar or fridge whenever we travel but this time, it is the first thing that I look for as I needed to store my expressed breast milk. Look at the frost build-up!
We love spending our time at the balcony. Thank goodness the water here did not smell. We went to GoldCoast Morib before and was horrified at how smelly it was there.
We are prohibited from fishing though or else it would be such leisure sitting at the balcony fishing ^_^
Some of the activities that we did are:
Swimming at the infinity pool overlooking the wide open sea. Such a beautiful sight!
We spent a lot of time on the Buggy getting from Point A to Point B. You can choose to walk or cycle if you prefer but with a baby in hand, we rather take the buggy.
The many bicycles you can take to cycle around the resort. It is freeeeeeeee.
Resting on the hammock by the beach.
Overall, it was a nice relaxing retreat though the cleaning stuffs should try to make more effort in cleaning up the room. The rest of the staffs here are helpful enough making sure I get the buggy as soon as possible and helping us with the luggage and all as I have a baby in my arms. The same can’t be said about the guests though as some can be seen cutting queues for buggy and get very temperamental when the buggy arrives a minute late @[email protected]

So shame on the dusty under bed and sofa, for such a “expensive” & high end resort!

Do you know, by any chance, where they get the bikes from? I’ve been to the resort and their bikes was SO comfortable to ride that I didn’t even take the buggy unless there was no bikes left.
