How To Lose Post Pregnancy Weight … Fast!

With Ethan I lost my post pregnancy weight quite quickly. I was 40kg before I got pregnant and just before delivery I was 55kg. Okay, maybe I did not lose those weight as fast as I thought I did. It was just that back then I wasn’t active in social media hence I did not need to meet people often so I can just hide in my shell until I get back my pre-pregnancy figure.

With Ayden is a totally different story. I was 45kg when I got pregnant (I was heavier due to some medication which I haven’t got about to tell) and the week before my water bag broke 3 weeks before my EDD I was already 60kg. I did not know how much I weigh when I was admitted though. It’s 7 weeks after I delivered Ayden and I’m still no where near my ideal weight. I am now 48kg and have been stuck at this weight for a couple of weeks already.

I delivered both Ethan and Ayden via caesarean section. With Ayden, though my water bag broke, I wasn’t dilated hence the c-sec. You know how it is with c-sec. We can’t start exercising at least until after 6 weeks and that also depends on how well our wound is doing. Sit-ups is definitely a no-no at this stage making it harder to get a flat tummy.

Darling kept telling me to take it easy and not be paranoid with my weight. He said if he is okay with it why am I so worked out over it? Why??! Because I need to face people that’s why! I made my first public appearance immediately after my confinement during Nuffnang’s Tweat Festival and already I have many people commenting how chubby I am still :(

I’m watching my diet. I need to eat as I am breastfeeding but I am cutting down on carbs whenever possible. I take lots of protein ie fish, chicken, milk.. I also take lots of vege and fruits and drink up to keep me hydrated.

At week 7, I am starting some light exercise and my trainer is no other than Ayden himself. Here’s our exercise routine:
chubby

True enough, this exercise isn’t working. We are BOTH still chubby! LoL! Well, at least for one of us, being chubby is a good sign! Haha! :D

Hi Merryn, Congratulation to your new born… Hmmm.. take it easy and I think you need at least a year to gain back the previous weight esp with C section… Your case seem alright…. I had C section and my weight before pregnant was 45 – 48 kg… Gosh… I gain weight during pregnancy and it was 72kg when I delivery my baby throu C section… My doctor did not even stop me… I too enjoy “food” at that time.. So it took me almost 2 years to slim down to around 50 kg .. and I still working on 4-5 more kg at least…

I still cannot lose weight after gave birth 4 years ago >.<

Went for Malay urut on Monday and it was painful. Feel like after the c-section. Tummy and wound area were painful. Now tummy pain no more but once a while I have some soreness on the wound area.

So I guess I have to take it light and easy first before doing anything vigorous.

Ayden is sure chubby. Cute. Wanna pinch his cheeks, can or not? hehehe.

Wah! Ayden so chubby!! You? Don’t know, cos you never show picture! Hahaha!! Anyway, it’s OK to be chubby especially when people knew you had just given birth. Just don’t be chubby one year down the road la. LOL.

    Ayden is so chubby lah..

Keep it up..you can do it. I need help on how to trim my tummy…it’s bad!

Dont worry, you will and can get back to your pre pregnancy weight when you can exercise and can cut down on yr food portion again. Just enjoy your breastfeeding journey with Ayden. You’re already doing it right by cutting down on carbs. He will suck away all your fat dear. And do pump up the calcium intake ya.

you chubby meh?? but right after pregnancy and delivery, probably have to bear with the weight a little lah.. unless you are superstar, slimming centers all lining up to sign you up for spokesperson contract (right after you announced your pregnancy) hehe!! take it slowly like your hubby said, the more kan cheong you are, probably the less effect you can see :)
