Genting Sky Venture
Genting Sky Venture, the one and only wind tunnel in Asia has been in Genting for quite some time, located at Level T2A, First World Plaza, but I’ve never got the guts to try it until recently.
I went first while Darling looked after Ethan. We changed into our suit (I love my pink jumpsuit) and were briefed on the sign language and also instructed on the basic of flying. Lockers are provided for you to keep your personal belonging as you are not allowed to fly with your phone in your pocket. Shoes are provided too if yours is not suitable. I had to wear their shoes as they forbid heeled boots from flying.
The instructor will first demo to us how to fly and what to do to keep yourself from falling.
Then it’s time for us to fly. I don’t have any pictures of ME flying as Darling did not take any but I have some pictures of HIM -.-
We are not allowed to take pictures actually but I curi-curi take using my fon so pardon the quality of the pics. We can actually purchase a DVD recording of us flying for RM18 but I did not, which I truly regretted now since I flew so well! >_<
As we throw ourselves into the wind tunnel, the instructor will assist to stabilize us. I managed to get myself stabilized in an instant maybe because I’m short? -.- Darling did well too. Once stable, the instructor will let go of us.
I believe I can fly..
I believe I can touch the sky… And before you can sing another line, your time is up. First ONE MINUTE is up.
You’ll get to fly twice. The second time around, the instructor will bring you for a joy ride. That was my favourite part! He brought me flying high up until I disappear from public’s view and drop at lightning speed and up again and drop down again. He also spun me around simulating freefalling through the sky just like a skydiver.
Adrenaline rush to the max! I love it max and was so sad when it ended, I wish I could just go on and on and on!
If you want to have the thrill of jumping out of an airplane but is afraid of your parachute malfunctioning or anything like that, you should try this. At least for once you get to feel what it’s like not having any parts of our body touching the ground. For that brief moment, I was as FREE as a bird!
I don’t dare to try it.:(
btw, how come the instructor not floating when holding on William?
Chris,
You wont be flying standing up lah…
aiyo, tak boleh la! I’m too far to fly LOL!
Ken, come over to KL again and try this :D
I wonder if I will fly or not… Any weight or age limit?
Arthur, I forgot to write the weight limit is min is 20something kg and maximum is 100something kg. I’m sure you are NOT that heavy right? ^_^
I think the wind pressure will push me right to the top with my light body weight. I don’t think I will want to try this because I scare..!!
Agnes,
I’m less than 45kg yet I survived, you can too :)
It’s so adventurous. Although been to Genting so many times but never have chance to try this.
Vicky,
Next trip up, try this :)
LETS FLY IN the Highest place @ Malaysia :D
pernah tengok je ..p x pernah cuba..:)
Wanna take over the role of J Chan in CZ12? haha. The last time we wanted to try this but due to the drizzling rain it was no go. Too bad. Yo free like a bird huh great fun!
aw, that’s one kick ass fly i must say. but the admission fee is kinda pricey.
awwww. u sure very mad at him for not taking photo of u =p
anyway why ethan didnt play? got age limit?
Ethan is only 18kg. The minimum weight I think is 25kg (if I’m not mistaken) Wait for him to fatten up a little first :D
Been to Genting few times but never try this sky venture :P cause I’m scaredddddd HAHA
omg looks so scary still although it’s not the real one haha XD nice experience huh!
i know the face expression is very ugly when flying lol
