Istana Negara KL

During our Hop-On Hop-Off KL tour recently, we hop-off at the new Istana Negara. We’ve always wanted to visit this place but never got the chance, so this was a golden opportunity for us.

The Grand Istana Negara

Beyond the almighty gate lies a beautiful palace.

A closer shot. As you can see it was a very windy day that day. Flags flew proud and mighty.

Ethan has always requested for us to bring him here to look at the horses so today his wish came true. He got more than he bargained for when he saw the horse poop! He gets super excited telling me, “Mommy, so the horse IS real after all!” ^_^

Cheeky Ethan but the guard did not wink a bit! Amazing!

With Istana Negara done. We hop-on our bus and continue the rest of our KL tour :)

Merryn, may I ask…you mean the Istana Negara is still ‘open’ to the public for visit? I actually wanted to bring my boy there but I heard that the place is no longer ‘open’ for the public for visit.

hmmm, but then we are allowed up to the gate and not permitted to go in even the garden?? i just want to see how lavish the palace is, using the people’s money!! we contributed to that, so we shall be allowed inside agree?? :p
