How a Wi-Fi Camera works : Samsung WB150F

We got hold of the Samsung WB150F Wi-Fi camera a fortnight ago. In this era we live in, EVERYTHING needs to be Wi-Fi ready, don’t you think so?

I had always wanted to know how a Wi-Fi camera works and here’s how:

After getting your favourite shot, turn the dial to ‘Wi-Fi’

WB150F

Choose how you want to share the picture(s). In my case, I chose Social Sharing

You have Facebook, Picasa, YouTube and Photobucket to choose from. Let’s try on Facebook, shall we?

Just like any other wi-fi enabled gadgets out there, it has to connect to the nearest/strongest Wi-Fi connection.

We will then need to key-in the Wi-Fi password if the connection is protected-lah. The noob in me went touching the screen to try keying-in the password! Lo and behold, this is NOT a touch screen gadget! >_<

Wait for it to connect, which is pretty fast I would say.

Again, when I needed to type in my Facebook account details, I automatically went and touch the screen! I’ve got to learn that NOT EVERYTHING IS TOUCH SCREEN! >_<

Wait for it to log-into your Facebook account. Again, this doesn’t take up much time.

Preview your pictures and select those that you want to upload to Facebook.

You can even type in comment for your selected picture. But it’s okay if you are word shy, you can leave it blank for others to caption it on your Facebook :)

Upload and in just seconds the picture will appear on your Facebook.

There! Uploaded via Samsung Camera. Uber cool!

This camera is smart. It will detect and connect to the most recently accessed network on your next usage, so we need not type in the passwords and what’s not again.

But just like any other smart gadgets out there, it is advisable to LOG-OUT after using as you won’t want to be a victim of PIC-jacked now, would you? ^_^

Personally, I don’t mind if you don’t log-out as I LOVE jacking other people’s account! :P

With cameras now come Wi-Fi ready, it brings social networking to an entire new platform. If last time I need to rely on my smart phone to get photos out instantly on my social media(s), now I can kill 2 birds with 1 stone. I can capture good quality pictures with this camera and still share it instantly on my social networks.

It makes event blogging much more fun and convenient! ^_^
