Red Packet Dragon at Sunway Giza Mall

In my quest to find the best Chinese New Year decor in malls around the Klang Valley, never did I expect to find a gem at Sunway Giza Mall. They were nothing extra-ordinary during Christmas so when I paid them a visit today, I did not even bring my camera along. But to my surprise, Giza Mall has the most amazing decor I’ve ever encountered as they have this:

*The photos you are about to view are all taken using my iPhone4S*

LoL! Okay.. so the Prosperity God looks kinda feminine. Well, this is NOT what impressed me but THIS:

A couple of Dragons made of Ang Pow packets hanging proudly up there. I went, “OMG!” and almost cried! You know how much I LOVE making lanterns and anything nice from Ang Pow packets right? So when I saw this, I just went weak on my knees and at that instant was cursing for not having my camera with me!

A close-up of one of the Dragons. If only I know how to make a dragon out of red packets I will be the happiest girl on Earth right now :(

Not only do they have those Dragons, the rest of the decor in Giza Mall are all made of Ang Pow packets too. They have countless Ang Pow lanterns hanging at each and every corner possible..

A variety of Ang Pow lanterns. Lovely isn’t it? This is what I call Chinese New Year decor and hand-made ones like this is what I like!

Thumbs up to Giza Mall for the auspicious Dragons and lanterns. This is really something. This is simply amazing!

As I’ve mentioned earlier, I love making my own Ang Pow lanterns so click here for DIY Ang Bao decor guide with pictures.
