The Adventures of TinTin in 3D

Thanx to Nuffnang, we get to catch The Adventures of TinTin in 3D on Wednesday in GSC Mid Valley, Megamall. I used to read TinTin when I was little so getting the opportunity to watch it on the big screen is something I really look forward to :)

It was a blogger-studded affair in the cinema foyer as bloggers mingled before the start of the movie :D

Ethan was as excited as we were :D

We got COUPLES seat, yo!

Call me blur but I langsung was not aware that we are going to catch TinTin in 3D until we were handed those 3D glasses! *I need to get my brain checked* =__=

The last time we went to the cinema was for Cars2 and I believed that was not too long ago but surprise, surprise, this time around in the cinema, there were two Man In Black standing at the back. They introduced themselves as The Security people. The good thing about having them around is we don’t get distracted during movies by the glare from inconsiderate cinema-goers’ phone messages, tweets and all. The bad part is, since one of them is standing next to us, it took all the joy away from having a COUPLES seat! :P

Anyway, Ethan was with us so there was no opportunity for hanky-panky… cough…

Okay, back to TinTin, The Secret of The Unicorn is based on the comic series The Adventures of TinTin. Directed by Steven Spielberg, produced by Peter Jackson, and written by Steven Moffat, Edgar Wright and Joe Cornish, the film is based on three of the original comic books: The Crab with the Golden Claws, The Secret of the Unicorn and Red Rackham’s Treasure.

I love TinTin for its light joke every now and then. Being an adventure movie, the jokes were dropped so subtly and unexpectedly making it a very pleasant movie to watch. It started with TinTin buying The Unicorn for a bargain and immediately after that was offered to name the price by another buyer making the original seller crying out he missed ‘Name your price’ by merely a second! Such irony in life!

The plot gets super interesting after that. I was on the edge of my seat throughout the movie and my verdict for TinTin? You’ve GOT to watch this. Well, there are moments when you feel you wanna smack silly those two clowns detectives but then again, it is an interesting watch. The animation is superb and I wish it would never end but then Ethan has school the next morning @_@
