Where’s your husband now?

It’s that time of the year again where all the ladies will be hogging the shopping mall ALONE! Why? Because the dudes will have their butts glued to the idiot box until the 11th July 2010. Thank goodness for ME, my Darling is no football kaki. But come to think of it.. ^_^
Back in 1998 when Darling and I were colleagues, we both pretended that we were some kind of a football fan. We would join other colleagues in placing bets and talk football, eat football and sleep football (like as if I know anything about it!). But then again, the bets done were all in the form of meals – so win or lose, we  actually all WIN in the end as it only spells out one thing – MEAL DATES :P *I wondered how many people actually still use that tactic these days* :D
Cut long story short, after numerous MEAL DATES with numerous colleagues and lots more of pretending on being a football fan, Darling and I finally hook up :D
Every four years when World Cup takes place, Darling and I will be reminded of the time spent in mamak stalls and all the journey that lead us to be where we are today :)
Yet, this year World Cup South Africa 2010 will have our very own SUKMA in Melaka as a rival! OK, so that is such a lame joke. I just asked my students an hour ago if they know what SUKMA means and they gave me that horrifying blank look! @_@
