Assam Prawn

I am on my way back to Malacca! Woo hoo! The last time I was back, my mom dished out delicious Assam Prawns for us. Darling is a seafood freak and my mom knows it :P

I bet this time around I’ll have to go out to eat as the entire family members except my Dad will be going to the Hang Jebat Stadium for the opening of SUKMA as they are involve in it.

Anyway, while I’m singing “Country Road take me home... ” (hope I won’t make the sky cry!), let me share with you the recipe for Assam Prawn :)

Assam Prawn

1 1/2 tablespoons tamarind
1 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
water

Mix tamarind with some water. Add the tamarind juice, salt, and sugar into the prawns and mix well. Marinate.

Heat up wok and add some oil. Pan fry the prawns.

Note: Some people prefer it to be really dry but in my family we love the gravy the most. So we always requested my mom to make more gravy as the gravy goes really well with steamed white rice. Yummy :D
