Cheater’s Bake

Ethan has been watching lots of Hi-5 lately. There is one scene where he sees kids baking and has been pestering me to bake lately. Unfortunately, I am not a baker mom. So I have to resort to ‘cheat‘ baking. What is ‘cheat‘ baking? Baking using ready made ingredients. I bought this Pillsbury Cake Mix in Jusco yesterday and tried baking it today. This is my first time baking cup cakes and it is surely a first time for Ethan! All we needed to do was add some eggs, oil and water into this flour mixture and pop them into the oven. So simple!

Here is Ethan whisking the eggs. You’ve got to see the second video where he is so happy smiling while the bowl of eggs almost fall off the table!

To summarize it, Ethan and I enjoyed the baking process. Ethan especially, since he gets to ‘play’ with the eggs and all. But he was kind of bored waiting for the muffins to bake, so I ended giving him a bowl of water to ‘whisk’ while waiting and waiting…

It’s the first time baking (cakes) for both of us and this seems simple enough. Will definitely bake again in the near future! Yeay!
