The after shock – fever and diarrhoea

It has since been 40 hours since Ethan’s terrible fall. He was playing with the powder container when it fell and powder spilled on the floor. Before Darling or myself managed to clean that up, Ethan ran to it. Walking on the powder caused him to fall and landed right smack on the back of his head. We’ve rushed him to the ER as in my previous post.

Last night, he vomited again. This time we brought him to see other paed hoping for a second opinion. What we got was the same feedback, only this time the paed added that he might be suffering from the ‘shock’ of the fall. The paed assured us that Ethan will be alright tomorrow.

Early this morning, around 4am, I touched Ethan and found out that he was having a high fever. We were forced to wake him up for fever med. After taking his medication and all, he felt sleepy again so I tried to put him back to sleep but then.. he vomited. Aaarrrggghh!!! I’m so frustrated with myself right now!

Fast forward to 10am, he started having diarrhoea. Oh yeah, another thing that came out from all his crying is colic. He is now experiencing his first COLIC attack! Since born till today, I’ve never encountered him having any colic difficulties until right now.

With bumps on his head, feverish body, diarrhoea and colic, my baby is very very weak. Never seen him being this passive. Last night, I was doing the last minute packing for the ‘balik kampung‘ trip which is suppose to happen tomorrow. With Ethan’s current condition, Darling is thinking to postpone our journey. Ethan is indeed a little too weak to travel.

Darling and I are knocking our heads on the wall right now. If only we were faster in cleaning up the powder mess, Ethan wouldn’t have fall and suffered right now. He has lost all his appetite and I am worried he might be dehydrated if this should continue. I am in a mess and in no way excited about the coming holidays anymore.

Ethan has just turned 18 months old few days ago. His current weight is a mere 9.5kg and 77cm tall (or short).

Hello. My wife and I bought our house about 6 months ago. It was a foreclosure and we were able to get a great deal on it. We also took advantage of the 8K tax credit so that definitely helped. We did an extensive remodeling job and now I want to refinance to cut the term to a 20 or 15 year loan. Does anyone know any good sites for mortgage information? Thanks!Mike
