Romantic vacation at Philea Resort and Spa, Melaka

I remember back in 2011, Darling, Ethan and I spent an unforgettable weekend at Philea Resort & Spa, Ayer Keroh Melaka. Back then we stayed in their Pavilion Room. You can read all about it here. Last weekend, we went back there again to have an early birthday celebration but I shall blog more about that later as I am more excited to share how romantic it was this time our stay in their Philea […]

Golden Palm Tree Iconic Resort & Spa

It’s the year end and I am sure most of us have holiday plans all planned out waiting to be executed. With Ayden around we do not want to be travelling too far so we decided on a quick retreat about an hour away from home recently. Our choice of destination – Golden Palm Tree Iconic Resort & Spa, soon they’ll be known as AVANI Sepang GoldCoast Resort. A piece of heaven on Earth but […]

Genting Theme Park will be replaced by Twentieth Century Fox Theme Park

Darling, Ethan and I all have Genting’s Annual Passport but Darling’s and mine expired some time ago. We wanted to renew it but were not allowed. We were quite pissed then as Ethan’s passport is still valid and without ours, we have to fork out a large sum of money to enter the Theme Park together. I brought the matter up to the management and was told that the Theme Park will be closed sometime […]

World Club Room @ Genting

Not too long before Chinese New Year, we went up to Genting for the weekend. We don’t usually stay the night when we make a trip up there but this time we did and the place we stayed was in World Club Room at First World.  Our impression of First World used to be ‘the largest hotel with the smallest room’ in Genting but this time we were proven extremely wrong!  As we entered our […]

Gold Coast Morib Resort

This year, my parents did not celebrate Chinese New Year in Malacca due to the passing of the family’s matriarch last year. My eldest sister (and family) took my parents to Gold Coast Morib Resort instead. We joined them on the 2nd day of Chinese New Year. Though we just had lunch before pushing off to Morib, we arrived just in time as my family were about to have lunch so we ate together much […]

Strawberry Park Goh Tong Highland Garden, Genting

We were up in Genting last weekend. This time we stayed a night. Will talk about our stay later as today I just wanted to share our stop at this Strawberry Park in Goh Tong Highland Garden. We passed this place each time we come down from Genting but every time it is at night but last weekend, we went down in the evening so we took that golden opportunity to stop here. Goh Tong […]

Klebang Original Coconut Shake

I’ve been wanting to try the famous Klebang Original Coconut Shake since like forever but never got the chance even though it’s not very far away from my parents’ place. It’s like each time I am back in Malacca and pestered any of my relatives to bring me there, they’ll go, “but the queue is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO long!” Nobody wants to bring me there. I would have forced Darling to bring me there IF only I […]

Hippopotamus @ Singapore Zoo

After visiting our local zoo and seeing how sad all the caged monkeys and the rest of the animals are, we don’t really quite like zoos anymore until we came across Singapore Zoo. Their Orang Utans there are free-ranged and dangled freely on trees. All other animals have their own spacious enclosures and no one was in cages. Ethan especially loves the hippopotamus. He has never imagined a hippo to be so graceful until he […]

Genting Sky Venture

Genting Sky Venture, the one and only wind tunnel in Asia has been in Genting for quite some time, located at Level T2A, First World Plaza, but I’ve never got the guts to try it until recently.  I went first while Darling looked after Ethan. We changed into our suit (I love my pink jumpsuit) and were briefed on the sign language and also instructed on the basic of flying. Lockers are provided for you […]

The MUST drink in Singapore

Singapore has a tropical climate so the island is warm and humid throughout the year.  The average temperature is around 31oC so it’s important to drink enough water to keep you hydrated. What happens if you run out of drinking water? Fret not as you can always do this: Just a short update since most of us are still in holiday mood ^_^

Christmas lights in Sunway

Remember my post here saying that I’m unimpressed with the Christmas street lighting of Orchard Road, Singapore? Well, that is because we have a much more colorful street lighting in Sunway! Every year without fail we’ll take a leisurely stroll along the cheerful and brightly lit Sunway street. This year is no exception. Love this Christmas tree. It’s quite hard to photograph this tree as people kept surrounding it for pictures too. Can you see […]

Virgin Rollercoaster Ride @ Universal Studio Singapore

We went to Universal Studio Singapore again (read about our FIRST trip there two years ago here) and this time we enjoyed more as Ethan can ride most of the thrill rides compared to when he was 3 years old. Reunited with the cute Puss In Boots <3 This trip also marks the very first time Ethan rode on a rollercoaster! I was hesitant initially but he insisted that he is big enough for all […]

Feeding giraffes at Singapore Zoo

During our recent Singapore trip, we went to the Singapore Zoo on Day 2 for the much anticipated elephant ride. Never did it occurred to me that Ethan will end up feeding giraffes as well!  We saw people feeding giraffes for a fee of $5. Ethan was curious and wanted to feed them too! >_< It scares the heck out of me seeing that super tall creature with their heads hovering above Ethan.  But that […]

Crane Dance, Resort World Sentosa Singapore

On our first night in Singapore, we were thankful that the weather is beautiful with no rain to make it possible for us to catch the much anticipated Crane Dance in Resort World Sentosa. We took the Angry Birds Cable Car to Sentosa. The show is scheduled at 9pm but tourists lingered around the area as early as 8pm! We went to take our seat at 8.45pm after having our dinner. At 9pm sharp, a burst of fireworks lit […]

Elephant Ride, Singapore Zoo

The last time we were in Singapore 2 years ago, we went to the Night Safari. We got to see animals in the dark but we never get to experience the beauty of Singapore Zoo as it was too dark. This time around, we visited the Zoo during the day and I must say that I’m pretty impressed with Singapore Zoo. None of the animals (especially monkeys and orang utans) are in a cage! They all have their own nice […]

Angry Birds Cable Car, Sentosa Singapore

We are BACK! We just got back from Singapore and this time around, the moment you touch down Changi Airport you’ll be surrounded by Angry Birds everywhere! Angry Birds in Changi Airport, Singapore Ethan mimicking the green pig >_< The first thing we did after checking into our hotel in Mandarin Orchard was to take the MRT to HarbourFront for the World’s First Angry Birds™ Christmas-themed Cable Car atop Mount Faber. The next nearest to us is the one in Kelana Jaya. You’ll definitely need a KIPAS coz damn hot man… What you’ll need to renew your passport: * to be 18 years and above * passport with chip * MyKad * 1 […]

Water World @ i-City

We spent our day off today at the NEW Water World @ i-City. Water World @i-City admission fee Water World @i-City admission fee for MyKad holders. First thing first, MUST apply sunblock. Even though it rained in the morning, it was darn hot when we were there in the afternoon. The locker charges here is quite pricey at RM15 that many opt to bring their bags around and dump them by the poolside creating quite […]

Pictures of the NEW Snow World @ Genting

After much anticipation, we finally landed in the all NEW Snow World, Genting today. Darling and I entered for free as we won the tickets earlier but we had to pay RM23 for Ethan. With World Card the rate will be RM21 instead but we forgot ours so… bleh! First thing first. Each visit session only lasts for 40 minutes at scheduled hours. We bought ours for the 1.30-2.10pm session. At 1.30pm sharp, the gate […]

How high is Bukit Tinggi?

My sister told me she’s taking my parents up to Bukit Tinggi during the Raya holidays. Since I’ve never been to this place before, I decided to pay them a visit there during their 3D/2N stay in Colmar Tropicale. Do you know that you have to pay to ENTER Bukit Tinggi? Ridiculously priced at RM12/adult, not sure how much for kids though as they let Ethan in for free.  NICE nyer. Macam kat over da […]

Let’s Go Genting this holidays!

This weekend is going to be a LONG weekend AGAIN! Wootz!! Where shall we go? Mana? Mana? Where? Where? Yep, you guessed it RIGHT! Let’s go to GENTING, my weekend home :P I guess it’s pretty obvious that I’ve been going to Genting very often lately huh? The fact that it’s so close to home coupled with the cool weather keeps bringing us back there. Let’s recap the MUST DO’s in Genting this coming holidays: […]

Istana Negara KL

During our Hop-On Hop-Off KL tour recently, we hop-off at the new Istana Negara. We’ve always wanted to visit this place but never got the chance, so this was a golden opportunity for us. The Grand Istana Negara Beyond the almighty gate lies a beautiful palace. A closer shot. As you can see it was a very windy day that day. Flags flew proud and mighty. Ethan has always requested for us to bring him […]

Hop-On Hop-Off KL

During the long weekend break, Darling decided to try being a tourist getting around KL. What better way than to Hop On Hop Off KL? If you are a smart tourist, you’ll definitely not want to flag for a cab in the heart of KL as the crazy jam will make the journey very costly in the end. I’m so used to be driven around KL that it is such a welcoming change to be […]

Animal Park @ Bukit Tinggi

My parents and my sister’s family spent their long holidays in Colmar Tropicale, Bukit Tinggi. Ethan, Darling and I joined them for a day out at the Animal Park today. We took the shuttle van to the Animal Park since it is the public holidays and parking is scarce. We ended up regretting taking the shuttle van. Read on to find out why.  Ethan and my nieces getting excited in the van on the way […]

CintaAyu All Suites Hotel @ Pulai Springs Resort

Continuation from our Desaru trip with 15 adults and 5 kids, it’s only appropriate that we checked ourselves into CintaAyu All Suites Hotel at Pulai Springs Resort & Spa after leaving Desaru.  We shared our 3-bedroom suite with Choi Yen and family. The living room. Ethan and Samantha warmed-up pretty quickly with the surroundings, enjoying themselves on the cozy couch. The kitchen with fridge and coffee & tea making facilities.
