Leap to happiness

Being a full-time stay-at-home-mother (SAHM) requires a lot of motivation to keep me going and stay happy in my mundane life. Sometimes I can’t help but think grass is greener on the other side. Sometimes I wish to still be working and have friends to hang out with. Sometimes I wish things were different… But reality is I’m a mother to this boy: Weeeeeee! I’m HAPPY! I JUMP when I’m HAPPY! Weeeeeee! Look Mommy! I […]

Cars 2 Banners DIY

Ethan wanted to have Cars 2 theme for his birthday celebration. It was two weeks before his birthday so I thought since we had so much time, why not make our own Cars 2 banner? I didn’t know THEN that we can easily buy them for under RM20 in Toys R Us! >_< Anyway, Ethan did checked prints using Excel. We printed lots and lots of them since the ink so cheap only (so I […]

Yup, the much talked about weekend of mine is finally here. We are finally in Chin Swee Temple Genting much thanks to Nuffnang and Resorts World Genting. I am already in love with this temple. Xiang COOL!

During our many blogger outings, Ethan found a big brother in one of the coolest blogger around, Xiang from XiangCool.com It always amazes me to see this young chap, not married, still single and I believe available (but highly in demand because he has hairy arms :P) playing away with Ethan. When I was his age and without a child, I dislike children! I can never stand seeing children running here and there. I never […]

Animal lover?

Darling and I don’t like cats and dogs. We’ll never go near them. In a way we’ve ‘made’ Ethan not to like cats and dogs too :( Ethan will run miles away if he sees a cat or dog near him. Somehow he likes other animals. We frequent Rabbit Fun Land in Semenyih often as we have to pass by that place each time we go back to my in-law’s place. Ethan loves petting those […]

Never, ever, EVER cut an Ang Pow packet open!

I’ve heard it a thousand times. Old folks always say NEVER, EVER cut an Ang Pow packet open. You may tear it open but don’t ever CUT it! I never realized the significant of that sayings until recently when we were given an Ang Pow packet each. Darling and I gave ours to Ethan for him to tear them open and take out the money. I saw him tearing both Darling’s and my red packet so […]

Singing and Playing the Piano

After two months of piano lessons, Ethan now loves to sing and play the piano at the same time. I can so gladly trade all the shouting at home with the piano sound (and his singing too). It’s so much easier to keep him occupied these days. He’ll either be playing with his vehicle set, building blocks or the piano. That only means I have more time to BLOG :P Nah.. he’ll force me to […]

Ethan’s first charity outing with underprivileged kids

Several days ago, I found out that Genting is organising a Charity Movie Screening event for underprivileged children to enjoy a fun day out at the resorts along with Genting’s social media fans! Immediately I volunteered (through Nuffnang) myself and Ethan for that. It’s the school holidays so I thought it will be a good idea for Ethan and I to give back to society. We were required to buy gifts for the children. One gift per person so […]

Best playground hunt : Desa ParkCity

Play is very important to a child. A child can learn so much more through play than in the confinement of a classroom. To me, play is very important for Ethan. I try to bring him to the playground every day if we are at home. Sometimes the weather doesn’t permit us to do so but on good days we spend our evenings in the playground, soaking in some sunshine, filling our lungs with fresh air and treating our eyes to the lush greenery around us.
