Mummy’s Day Out
Last week, immediately after the end of Ethan’s second semester exam, we packed our bags and drove up to Resorts World Genting for a weekend staycation.
The boys are always the happiest being up here enjoying the cool breeze.
We brought them to catch the first viewing of SMURFS live on stage at Genting International Showroom which is being held from the 26 May – 24 June 2018.
After Smurfs, the boys went back to the room with Daddy to rest while I went down to RedTail Bar with some girl friends who were also up here to catch Smurfs. The Daddy gave me the much needed break as I have been busy tutoring Ethan for weeks to prepare him for his school exam. Thank you Daddy ♥
RedTail, covering 4,289 sq ft, is able to accommodate up to 150 guests—and while it is designed to be a millennial magnet, it will appeal to patrons of all ages such as me. Haha. It has been a while.. actually it has been ages since my socialising days hence I am a bit rusty in this.
Created by the team behind Asia’s best nightclub Zouk Singapore, Zouk Genting is set to revolutionize Malaysia’s nightlife scene with four distinctive destination zones, Zouk Beach, Zouk Club, Capital (opening in Q3 2018) and RedTail Bar by Zouk (“RedTail”), all under one roof, allowing patrons to enjoy endless luxury in an array of ambiances.
During my time, we used to socialise over a game pool or darts but RedTail brings gaming bar to a whole new level.
A new-style gaming bar, RedTail which opened at Resorts World Genting early January this year, definitely adds excitement to the vibrant nightlife scene of the resort as it redefines how the chic and sophisticated spend their leisure hours. Offering the perfect setting for pre-club drinks and group celebrations, RedTail boasts exciting features along with light meals and snacks.
I was introduced to a variety of new games such as Xbox E-Games, Beer Pong, Shots & Ladders, Battle Shots and Giant Pong.
Beer Pong
Giant Pong
Giant Pong definitely amplify the excitement of the game as everything is bigger in size!
As patrons of RedTail, we were given the mascot of RedTail – charming Xiao Hong the Red Panda boy which I happily brought back to my room for the boys much to their delight.
After some interesting rounds of games, we sat back and relax while listening to cool live music over Zouk-inspired sour plum shot. If you are into sports then you’ll love to catch your favourite sports on screen.
This refreshing Zouk-inspired sour plum shot is a bestseller in Singapore and is part of the Zouk DNA.
The very atmosphere of the place also celebrates culture and arts—RedTail being a big supporter of the Southeast Asian art scene. The décor showcases murals, graffiti art, handcrafted lighting and sculptures, and guests can feast their eyes on bespoke pieces by up-and-coming local talents.
I like this place. It is a nice place to just sit, relax and social over some drinks and games. The fact that it is very spacious, open and well illuminated and ventilated makes it comfortable to hang around.
How many shots you drank that evening?
Lovely night out with your girl friends.
Not many. Only ONE. LoL. It has been awhile since I do this so I dare not drink more as I needed to stay awake and alert to return to my room by myself after that.
Pity my partner in the beer pong game. She had to drink up each time we lost. Haha.
It is not a place for dancing?
This is RedTail Bar by Zouk. Not a nightclub. It is more for socialising over drinks and games. As you can see in the pictures, it is a very happy place. I like it.
I always loved the scenes at Zouk. It has a certain standard to cater for better class of socialites. I must look out for this RedTail next time and play that pong! Looks exciting.
Wahhhhhhh!!!! That tall tower of beer! You drank?
