Home-baked Cookies for Teachers’ Day
I used to teach before I became a stay at home mom. Back then, I received many red pens for Teacher’s Day. Too many in fact. So many until I don’t know what to do with them And then there are mugs. And more mugs. And many more mugs. LoL!
Ethan will be celebrating Teachers’ Day in school tomorrow. I told myself we will not give pens nor mugs as Teacher’s Day gift.
For the past years, we bought cookies for his teachers. This year, we can finally bake them ourselves as I have a brand new oven at home now.
We decided to bake our well received Chocolate Chips with Almond Nuts cookies ala Famous Amos for Ethan’s teachers.
I baked this for Chinese New Year and got good feedbacks from my family. My sister had also successfully baked these cookies a couple of days ago.
We spent the entire of yesterday evening baking these cookies.
Ayden helped me as Ethan was too busy doing his homework as well as revising as he will be sitting for mid year exam next week.
Ethan distributed these cookies to his teachers today as they will be busy celebrating tomorrow.
Quite immediately the Daddy forwarded me this message from one of Ethan’s teacher.
Glad she loves it.
Happy Teacher’s Day to all the teachers out there. Keep up the great job nurturing the children of our future.
Good that you bake cookies. A very personalised and lovely present. Bet any teacher would be touched and happy to receive it.
I think edible gifts are the best! And I also think that teaching is one of the most underrated and underpaid jobs in the world.
oO I didn’t know that, awesome job! Tun M will be proud. heheh.
Delicious cookies as gifts are a good idea!
Me! Me! Once a teacher, always a teacher!
Well done to the boys and mummy. The cookies look salivating. Read those messages from the teachers, sure make your hubby so proud of you.
