Food Delivery: Epic Fit Meals

Everyday when I browse through my Facebook feeds, I often see people sharing their healthy meals. It’s like it is a trend these days to go to gym, eat clean, do meal prep and bring them to work for lunch. Even those who are not gym freaks often eat in their office pantry these days. They just order food online and get it delivered right to their work desk. Maybe because the weather is so hot, people are getting lazier to walk out for their short meal break; nanti make-up lebur

You see people around you doing it so religiously that it rubs off on you. You want to eat in too but you have no freaking idea how to do meal prep or simply too lazy to cook. How then? Order online lah but fast food doesn’t count okay. That is not healthy food. You cannot be ordering Mekdi or Kepsi everyday. Your mother won’t approve.

Are you epic enough?

Recently, a friend of mine introduced Epic Fit Meals to me. He said this is his alternative on-demand delivery on days that he does not bring his meal prep to office. What he likes about it is it requires no pre-order and these wholesome meals are delivered for free within 30 to 45 minutes of ordering. They also accept walk-in so there I was on a Sunday afternoon with this friend and another friend of his trying out almost everything on the menu.

Epic Fit Meals

The emphasise on Epic Fit Meals is meals are prepared fresh upon order to ensure freshness. With the passion to serve only the healthiest of meals, they use a lot of natural ingredients in place of salt and sugar in their recipes such as garlic, onion and dill to enhance the taste of their meals. Their wide variety of specialty sauces are also made from scratch and not store bought.

Creating our epic meals is easy in just 3 simple step – choose our main, select the sauce and pair up with sides

STEP 1 – Choose Your Main

Here are the mains that we sampled that afternoon served with baked potatoes.

EPIC GRILLED CHICKEN 140gram chilled chicken (416 kcal)

FIRE CHICKEN SCHNITZEL 140 gram chilled chicken (423 kcal)

OZ’S STRIP STEAK 130 gram Australian beef (453 kcal)

HERB & LEMON CRUSTED POLLOCK 130 gram Atlantic pollock (355 kcal)

BUTTER CITRUS BAKED POLLOCK 130 gram Atlantic pollock (335 kcal)

My top 3 pick for the mains are Butter Citrus Baked Pollock, Herb & Lemon Crusted Pollock and Oz’s Strip Steak though I would prefer the steak to be medium rare.

STEP 2 – Select Your Sauce

I enjoyed their wide variety of sauces especially those with lemon or lime. Coconut milk is not used in their curry.

My top two favourite sauces are Thai Thai, the sweet and appetising Thai chili followed closely by FIRE S.O.S, their fragrant sweet and fiery sambal. I also enjoyed Apple Salsa not as a sauce but on its own because it is so delicious to bite into those crunchy bits of apple and the whole work.

STEP 3 – Pair Up with Epic Sides

SPICE BAKED WEDGES (249 kcal)

IRISH COLCANNON (120 kcal)

FIRE CHOOKIES (240 kcal)

SCRAMBLE MA’ EGGS (195 kcal)

AGLIO E OLIO (298 kcal)

MASHED SWEET POTATOES (133 kcal)

APPLE SLAW (78 kcal)

My top 3 favourite sides has got to be the soft and fluffy scramble eggs, chicken bites and mashed sweet potatoes.

I know this friend of yours. Look like they have a very nice menu to cater to everyone including including children. And convenient too. Order and you get them fresh in less than an hour. I like that.

    • //

Ah, it is a small world after all.

Yes, they have a nice menu of delicious, healthy meals and best is they have an outlet very near my place.

  • //

I think I know this friend of yours too.

    • //

Haha. Thanks for initiating this lunch, HB :D

  • //

I like that they do not require pre-order a day before but they do not deliver to my work area. So sad! I had to google to know what is mekdi and kepsi. Lolx!

    • //

Oh dear, too bad they do not deliver to your area.

Now you know what mekdi and kepsi mean. LoL. I can’t mention them too directly. Haha ^_^

Home delivery, eh? Here, we can contact our favourite restaurant and order and they can get a special delivery service to send to the house – RM5 per item, I think. Not cheap. :(

I do wonder about those nice containers though – can wash and use again and again? The plastic ones can be reused, I do that all the time and of course, the paper ones will end up being thrown away.

    • //

Here we are not allowed to use polystyrene containers for take-aways so the next alternative is paper boxes.

  • //

Wow! This is so interesting and easy to order! The food spread looked delicious and healthy to plan.

BTW I also know your friend but he doesn’t know me already… LOL

The menu has added a few new items since my last try and I like how they prepare the meat which can retain the juiciness.
