Thai-Style Tiger Prawn Yee Sang RM128nett per portion
Salmon Yee Sang RM138nett per portion
Tuna Maguro and Sesame Seaweed Yee Sang RM168nett per portion

* Each portion serves up to 10 people

It is encouraged to say a couplet for good luck, fortune and health while assembling the yee sang to raise better luck for the year ahead.

Yee sang has to be sweet for the year ahead to be nothing but filled with sweetness and smooth. The most common sauce is plum but the ones here is deliciously infused with blackcurrant giving that extra oomph and pairs perfectly with the snow pear.

These crunchy crackers are the boys’ favourite ingredient in any yee sang. They are symbolic of the gold bars and the sprinkling of these crackers in abundance is likened to having gold spilling abundantly so we will always have wealth to carry us through the year.

Let’s toss for prosperity and longevity with good health.

Once a year, we are allowed or rather encouraged to make a big mess out of our food as it is believed the higher you toss, the higher your life and social standard will improve and the bigger a mess you make symbolises the bigger the grounds all these well wishes will cover in your life.

The hearty and nutritious Braised Seafood with Beancurd and Mushrooms Soup comes in a sea of treasures such as salmon, prawn, mussel, enoki mushroom and soft tofu.

Roasted ‘Pei Pa’ Duck with Sweet Sauce

The strength of this dish lies in the special sweet sauce that is made up of garlic, minced bean sauce, chili sauce and seafood sauce. The flavor improves the longer the sauce is cooked and we were told that the Chef leaves the sauce on slow simmer for up to 5 hours for best tasting sauce. We certainly did not take that long to eat this dish though as the plate is licked clean in minutes!

The Fried Butter Prawns with Oatmeal is flavorful and has a tinge of spiciness not only on the outer layer of the shell but deep within the flesh. This is because the prawns are well marinated before they are coated and fried. We enjoyed eating this a lot.

The Deep-Fried Seabass with Spicy Sichuan Bean Paste teases my palate playfully with its spicy, sweet and sour undertone. Its unlike the ordinary Sichuan pepper hot but is deliciously coated with sweetness to give the fish a burst of flavors with each bite.

The fish is cut into individual portion for easy serving. I love the crunch the crispy skin gave at every bite. I dipped them in the awesome spicy sweet and sour sauce for maximum pleasure.

Braised Black Mushrooms with Seasonal Vegetables is a must-have dish for any Chinese New Year meal.

Chef’s Signature Fried Rice with Salted Fish and Spring Onion

It is so good Ayden literally had two bowls of this fragrant fried rice that bursts of saltiness beaming through the delicate chewy grains of rice.

Steamed Nian Gao with Coconut Floss

The traditional Nian Gao is steamed to highlight its freshness and coated with tasty coconut floss.

Refreshing and healthy Osmanthus Jelly to end our delightful dinner.
