Eyuzu Japanese Cuisine: Fresh Air Flown Fish from Japan

Eyuzu Japanese Cuisine at Eastin Hotel Kuala Lumpur is one of our favourite Japanese restaurants around. Their Shumatsu buffet dinner is top notch as they serve only quality Japanese specialties; from the freshest sashimi to piping hot teppanyaki grill and crisp tempura fried upon order.

I dare vouch that they are really good as we were there last July not for a media review but to celebrate Ethan’s birthday and find the buffet spread as lavish as ever.

We were back here again several weeks ago on a media invitation to witness with our own eyes the freshest air-flown fish from Japan.

Private rooms are available in Eyuzu too if you wish to dine in privacy.

Lovely table setting

Eyuzu Japanese Cuisine introduces their freshest air-flown fish from Japan. Some of the varieties include Kamasu, Kinmedai, Kurodai or even shellfish such as fresh live scallops and more. These special air-flown fish from Japan are unique compared to the ones available at the local markets as the sea water and climate in Japan plays an important role in the quality and taste of the fish.

Air-flown twice weekly every Tuesdays and Fridays, these are the best days to dine here for the freshest fish from Japan.

Available for order à la carte, salt crust bake is one of the cooking method these fish are prepared to lock in the flavor and moisture.

Besides the much anticipated air-flown fish, the much loved Shumatsu buffet dinner I mentioned earlier is also a definite highlight at Eyuzu.

Available every weekend for dinner, there’s a special promotion on Sundays where for a table of 4 diners, 1 diner eats for FREE.

It means for every 3 paying adults, the 4th person eats for free.

EYUZU JAPANESE CUISINE
SHUMATSU BUFFET DINNER

Saturdays & Sundays: 6.30pm – 10.00pm

The Shumatsu buffet dinner is priced at:
RM118 nett (adult)
RM59 nett (child)

with free flow of chilled juices and freshly brewed coffee/tea

Known for incorporating only the freshest food sources available in its dishes, the difference is obvious in their sashimi and also fish used for sushi especially the texture. Even the dipping sauce is specially prepared and is deliciously unique.

Teppanyaki

The Shumatsu buffet offers a lavish and extensive spread of raw and cooked Japanese cuisines.

Grilled Shishamo

Grilled Saba

Teriyaki Chicken

Crispy Salmon Skin

Edamame (Green Soy Bean)

Marinated Seaweed (Wakame)

Marinated Baby Octopus (Idako)

Marinated Scallop (Chuka Hotate)

Marinated Jellyfish (Chuka Kurage)

Japanese Egg Omelette

Unagi

Our favourite unagi is also one of the items in the buffet spread and they are pretty generous with it as they replenish it quite frequently during dinner.

Yaki Udon

Garlic Fried Rice

Some of the main items are not featured in the buffet spread but they’ll be made fresh and served hot to diners upon order. The waiting staffs will take our order once we are seated, get the kitchen to prepare it and serve it to us.

The Tempura and Eyuzu’s signature Teapot Seafood Soup are two such items that are prepared fresh for diners.

Tempura

The Teapot Soup is not to be missed. Double-boiled seafood broth served in a teapot with a slice of lemon makes a refreshing and nutritious drink. We can’t get enough of it.

Other crowd favorite includes:

Grilled Chicken Wings

Salmon Gratin

Boiled Prawns

Seared Tuna

Fresh Raw Oysters

Cold and Hot Noodles

Eyuzu also serves mouth watering desserts.

Omochi

Black Sesame Balls prepared fresh before our eyes

Irresistible fragrant black sesame paste oozing out of the glutinous ball.

Red Bean with Yuzu

Assorted Cakes and Pastries

Ice Cream

Our favourite is obviously their green tea ice cream.

Condiments for shaved ice or toppings for ice-creams

I did not record a video during this recent media review but here is a video we recorded earlier in July during Ethan’s birthday. Food spread is just as extensive so I am resharing this video here:

An award winning, modern and contemporary restaurant that serves dinner buffet with a wide range of Japanese cuisine, from teppanyaki to sukiyaki, tempura, ramen, fresh sashimi, sushi, bento sets and more priced at RM118nett per adult with free flow of chilled juice and freshly brewed coffee/tea and half the price for child is certainly one of the most recommended Japanese buffets in town especially with their 4 diners 1 dines for free promotion on Sundays.

Eyuzu Japanese Cuisine operating hours:
Lunch (12noon to 2.30pm) daily
Dinner (6.30pm to 10.30pm) daily
Shumatsu Buffet Dinner (Saturday & Sunday) 6.30pm to 10pm
