Street Churros @ SkyAvenue Genting

From today onwards, you’ll be reading quite a lot on makan places up in Resorts World Genting as we’ve been spending quite a lot of time here.

For today, I’ll be sharing on this popular snack – Street Churros at SkyAvenue.

It was 10am. We had just arrive after an hour drive up so we thought why not have a light snack before we start exploring SkyAvenue.

The first outlet that caught our eyes was this Street Churros.

They work on this UFO numbered system. You place your order, you’ll be given this UFO. Once it buzzes, you go to the counter to collect your order.

It took quite some time for our order to be ready as they fry their churros on the spot.

I ordered this Cinnamon Churros (RM7.90) with chocolate dipping.

I actually prefer the churros plain without dipping.

But Ayden begs to differ. He loves the chocolate dip so much that he even dips his finger in it after he finished his churros :roll:

I also got Ice Cream Churros (RM10.90) and Churro Hotdog (RM19.90) for the boys. It is always nicer to eat ice cream in a cold place :lol:

Ice Cream Churros with Choco Choco toppings (RM1 extra for the toppings)

Double Cheese Churo Hotdog (RM19.90)

The boys love all of the above but when I told them to choose only ONE item that we will come back here again for, they both agreed on the Double Cheese Churo Hotdog. I guess cheese, hotdog and churo can never go wrong.

Went to see the movie, Coco, yesterday – very nice, family-oriented, touching too, some parts (Don’t cry!). You MUST bring the boys to go and watch. I’m telling you this because “churros” was mentioned in the movie and my girl chuckled, she thought that was funny. “Chorizo” was mentioned too. Go, go and enjoy, the school holidays are here:

  Churros is also a popular Mexican dessert hence it got mentioned in Coco.

Wanted to try this last time, it was quite empty but i was rushing for washroom and came back to realize there was a LONG queue. Threw the white flag in the end

  Luckily you went to the washroom first as it took quite a while for our order to ready. I think we waited around 15 minutes.

I think I will not get that churros & ice cream because I don’t like it becomes soft after being contacted with the ice cream :(

I used to think crazy people ate ice cream in cold climate until I myself ate the 6 flavoured ice cream cone in Sapporo during last winter. It was good down my throat.
