Monkeys
I always sing with Ayden the nursery rhyme that goes like this, “Mummy called the doctor and the doctor said, ‘No more monkeys jumping on the bed’ “
The other day when Ayden was admitted in the hospital, I introduced the doctors and nurses to him. He laughed and said we are the monkeys the doctor has always been telling not to jump on the bed. I laughed with him and never thought much about it.
My monkeys
One evening I took him into the elevator to go to the ground floor where the hospital playground is. We entered the elevator that is full of people. Ayden looked at each and every one of them and said loudly, “Mummy, SO MANY MONKEYS here!” Stunned, I stood still not knowing how to respond. I quickly told Ayden, “yes dear, we saw many monkeys in the story book just now. When you get better, mummy will bring you to the zoo to see real monkeys ok?” Then one man said, “Phew! I tot he was calling US monkeys!” Another one replied, “Yeah man, me too!” 😓
When you go to the zoo, he will ask: “Mummy, why the monkeys don’t look like us? They are not real monkeys!” XD
>_<
They really said like that? OMG, they are so funny :P
So is Ayden really refer to all the people in the lift when he said many monkeys?
YES! This Ayden is being cheeky. Made me malu only.. Haha!
Wahaha. Funny Ayden. But cham. He cannot differentiate people to monkeys? Lol.
I used to read the 8 silly monkeys story to Jamie too. But he grows bored of it now. Lol.
LoL. He can differentiate. He was just being cheeky. But others in the lift did not know the joke >_<
Haha! That’s a funny story. Good thing the guys took it well.
Sweat! LoL! Things kids say can really get us adult into trouble! Haha.
Why those people in the lift so sporting punya to say like that – they know very well that Ayden just called them monkeys lah. Hahahaha!
A bit malu moment for me actually. Haha. Paiseh max.
