Playing music at the Grand Musical Staircase, Berjaya Times Square

I don’t frequent the city centre often but today we dropped by Berjaya Times Square to run an errant. I’ve read somewhere that they have a grand musical staircase but the last I was there last year, I could not find it. Maybe I did not look thoroughly.

Today, we found it by chance. I was walking nearby when I heard a beautiful melody and when I looked up, I saw this:

Musical Stairs

I told Ethan to walk up and sure enough, each step he took plays a beautiful tone.

Musical Stairs Berjaya Times Square

A beautiful melody is played when many people walk up and down the staircase. Each footstep makes a tone, playing a soothing sound to our ears.

Grand Musical Staircase

If every shopping mall makes their staircase musical, I bet more people will start climbing up the stairs and lesser people will use the escalator or elevator. It will ultimately lead to a healthier lifestyle, won’t it?

Besides the grand musical staircase, the boys are also fascinated with the colored liquid floor that moves upon contact. The purple liquid will spread under your weight that prompts Ethan and Ayden to keep running on them.

Planking

Here they are, planking in public. Ayden started it, followed by Ethan. Hehe. Both of them are influenced by my planking at home :P

Anyway, here is Berjaya Times Square’s Christmas decor this year:

Same old gigantic Christmas tree but it’s okay. It is still beautiful as it is though I’m longing to see something new instead.

I also don’t usually go to BTS because it’s just another bigger Sungei Wang, other countries punya Times Square are better!! haha.. anyway, I’ve seen that piano staircase but I’ve never stepped on them leh, dunno lah, just never feel like doing that when I see the crowd..

Wow really, got the staircase at KL? I saw friend posted something similar but it’s at oversea…

Wow. I think these kind of decorations like the grand musical staircase is really a novelty. It is not just an eye-candy, but it allows us to interact with it. :)

So the boys are planking? Ha :D

I knew this musical staircase, very interesting but quite annoying too if too many people step on it at one time :P
