Extracting his own tooth
Ethan’s first milk tooth extraction was last year to remove both his lower central incisors when we spotted new teeth growing behind them. We brought him to the dentist to get them removed as I was afraid the new teeth will grow crooked if the milk teeth were not removed. Thank goodness his permanent teeth grew nicely aligned.
A month ago, his upper central incisor started to feel shaky. It was the first time he experienced shaky tooth. I volunteered to pull the tooth out but he was horrified, preferring for it to drop on its own. He kept the shaky tooth for weeks yet it was still intact. I was so tempted to pull it out when he was sleeping but I did not lah!
One day, Ethan was playing with Ayden. They were playing with some car launcher when Ayden launched a car right into Ethan’s mouth and hit that shaky tooth. That particular tooth immediately took a 90 degree turn and dangled at a very awkward position. It started bleeding. Ethan ran into the bathroom to look into the mirror and shouted that his tooth senget dy! Darling and I were too freaked out to do anything but after a minute or so, I tried to calm Ethan down and told him to trust me and let me pull it out for him but he refused.
He decided to pull it out himself! There he was in front of the mirror, using his fingers trying to pull out that tooth. Blood was dripping down his hand but he kept going and finally we heard it, that ‘cling’ sound of the tooth dropping on the sink. Darling and I breathed a sigh of relieved!
NEVER in my life nor Darling’s did we try to extract our own teeth but this Ethan successfully did! Thinking about it is enough to make my knees turn jelly…
My brave tooth hero! So proud to show off his teeth (or whatever is lacking there) somemore! Haha.
Ethan was so brave!
I think it was because he had no other choices looking at the circumstances but to remove it himself. Haha. But yeah, brave boy :D
wow so brave of him.. if I was at his age.. i will start to cry outloud hahah
I remember I tried that door and string method to pull my tooth and it works hahaha
Eeee! My dad did the pulling with the string for me. I’ve never try the door! LoL!
See no evil…eat no evil…hear no evil! LOL!!!
Eat no evil! Hahaha!
Clever boy.
^_^
Small E did the same too. Because I want to save $$, I have to tell her my horror stories back then when I went to the dentist. So, she took 4 days to slowly loosen the tooth and extracted herself. haha
Alamak this mummy!!! LoL!
Would have been the perfect photo for Colgate or Listerine, except for… you know… hahaha!
Hahaha. Can crop out mah..
Yes, its time for his front milk teeth to drop now.. hern hern’s teeth already replaced except his molars.
Yep. It’s the gigi ngongak time.
Ya, exactly! I covered my face and refuse to see when Kenny tried to pull Sam’s teeth >_< It was so "geli" and freaking scaring lah!
Brave Ethan! I wonder why he didn’t let you pull out his tooth. But decided to do so himself.
