CNY Mall decoration: Pavilion

I used to wonder why people frequent the malls on the first day of a festival. Don’t they have relatives to visit? Don’t their relatives visit their home?  And then today, on the first day of Chinese New Year of the Goat, I ended up in Pavilion. We were in Seremban at my in-law’s house when my sister-in-law suggested for us to go to Pavilion. The reason being that my parents-in-law doesn’t go KL often and this is the best time to go as KL is less congested during this festive season. I have absolutely no problem with that. I am ever so happy to be able to go jalan-jalan :D

So we took two cars to fit all of us and arrived Pavilion at approximately 6pm. Who says it will be less congested? So many people here. So many people like us who rather be in the mall than visiting relatives -.-

But I must say the decor at Pavilion this year is quite impressive. I love how the little lanterns group together to form a giant lantern. That is pretty creative.

The golden goats made quite an impact too. My in-laws were impressed.

Outside, there is an arch made of lantern. Here’s a picture with my father-in-law in it. The rest of my in-laws are camera shy.

Our favourite feature at night is the water fountain. I’ve always loved water fountain and this is simply beautiful.

We went back Seremban after having dinner here. Ok, shall talk about dinner later. Got to go now. Need to catch up on sleep.

I never visited a mall on 1st day of cny. Haha. My sil who drove all the way from Sibu to Kuching had visited few malls yesterday. Lesser people and no problem finding parking.

    Lovely decor in Pavillion.

Gong Xi Fa Cai to you and your family! May you all have a prosperous Goat Year!

I think I have been to MidValley a few years ago during CNY day 1. Not many people around because not many shops were open.

I think if you go to Pavilion earlier then not so many people. 6pm is quite late already so everybody has slept enough so are out looking for food.

Day trip from Seremban, really something, can drive so far to and fro a few hours apart.

It’s not really day trip actually. I went back seremban on the eve then to pavilion on Day 1 then back to seremban after dinner until Day 2 then head to my kampung in melaka :D
