Vietnamese Buffet at LINK, Pullman Kuala Lumpur Bangsar

Vietnamese cuisine is known to the food lovers as a cuisine featuring the harmony combination of five distinctive elements of taste senses, namely spicy to represent metal, sour to represent wood, bitter to represent fire, salty to represent water and sweet to represent Earth. To achieve the balance of these fundamental elements into the dishes, the Vietnamese dishes are known to incorporate a big amount of fresh herbs and vegetable, briefly-cooked meat to preserve its original flavours, dedicatedly-brew broth and lastly thoughtful presentation to please a diner’s eyes.

Last night, we were at LINK All Day Dining of Pullman Kuala Lumpur Bangsar together with some friends to feast on their 10-Day Vietnamese Food Promotion.

baby-sitter at Pullman

Darling was the official baby sitter of the night while the rest of us busy eating and chit-chatting, catching up on each other’s lives :D

We started our dinner with the iconic Pho noodles to warm up our tummies on a cool, rainy evening. We had both the beef and chicken rice noodles soup. Practically the national dish of Vietnam, you can’t say you’ve eaten Vietnamese if you have not eaten this.

Next we had the usually popular dish for potlucks and parties – Vietnamese Spring Rolls from their live station.

fresh vietnamese spring rolls

Every roll is made to order to ensure freshness.

Vietnamese Fresh Spring Roll

Vietnamese Fresh Spring Rolls

Vietnamese fresh spring rolls originated from the south of Vietnam where the weather is almost same as KL, hot and humid hence the people there love to eat anything fresh with lots of vegetables.

Vietnamese Fried Spring Roll

We also ate the fried spring rolls from the live cooking station. As I waited at the cooking station for my fried spring rolls, the chef told me that for these spring rolls, be it fresh or fried, we have to eat it with their accompanying sauce. They must be served together and be eaten together as these rolls on its own is rather tasteless but paired together they are awesome! Just like me and Darling… we are nothing when single but put us both together we instantly become the perfect pair! LoL! :P

Stewed Beef in Coconut Juice and Green Pepper

Stewed Beef in Coconut Juice

One of my favourite dish that evening is the stewed beef in coconut juice. The meat is marinated in fish sauce and cooked in coconut water. Coconut milk is poured over it before serving.

Vietnamese Seafood Soup

The Vietnamese Seafood Soup is easily everyone’s favourite that evening. A combination of sour and sweet, it really whets up your appetite for more.

Other Vietnamese food we had are:

Fried Chicken Wings

Fried Chicken Wings

Grilled Eggplant with Crab meat

Salted egg and chicken fried rice

Fried Rice with Salted Egg and Chicken

lemon grass squid

Grilled Squid with Lemongrass and Chili

Vietnamese Chocolate Drip Cake

Vietnamese Drip Coffee Cake

This Vietnamese Drip Coffee Cake is simply beautiful and delicious too. One of my favourite dessert that evening.

Of course there are other food besides Vietnamese cuisine.

Sushi Counter

I had my all time favourite sushi and sashimi while Ethan had his favourite pasta in tomato sauce.

Ice cream

Though my favourite dessert is that Vietnamese Drip Coffee cake, Ethan’s is the ice-cream from the ice-cream bar.

Vietnamese Food Promotion at LINK Pullman

The Vietnamese food I got from the buffet line for Darling because he was busy baby sitting.. ^_^

The Vietnamese food featured in tonight’s promotion ranges from the North to the South with those from North tasting more sourish to the South’s sweet and creamy delicacy. We had a great time feasting tonight.

LINK’s Vietnamese Promotion runs from 19th till the 28th of September 2014 (except for Fridays and Saturdays) for both lunch and dinner buffet, priced at RM90.00nett per person. For further information or reservations, please call LINK All Day Dining at +603-2298 1855.
