DRB HICOM Auto Fest Post Event

DRB-HICOM Auto Fest 2013 was held from 28 to 30 June 2013 at Subterranean Penang International Conference & Exhibition Centre (SPICE) Penang formerly known as Penang International Indoor Arena (PISA).

Over 18,000 residents from Penang and surrounding areas flocked to the DRB-HICOM Autofest 2013 event which came back after the 1st DRB-HICOM Autofest was held in January 2013 at EON Complex, Glenmarie to check out 10 brands under DRB-HICOM Group namely Audi, Can-am, Honda, Isuzu, Lotus, Mitsubishi, MODENAS, PROTON, Suzuki and Volkswagen.

There were indoor and outdoor activities. Lotus Driving Experience and MODENAS Stunt Show were easily the favourite and most attractive outdoor activities among the visitors. 

LOTUS Experience

Visitors got to experience the most exhilarating ride of their lives in the Lotus Driving Experience. Onlookers got to smell the burning rubber and listen to the screeching brake sound. Adrenaline rush to the max!

MODENAS Stunt Show            

It was a heart-stopping experience witnessing the MODENAS Stunt Show. The spectators went “Oooooooooooohs and Aaaaaaaaaaaaahs” at every leap and corner, holding their breath for fear that any of those stuntmen might lose their balance! 

Convoys from several Car Clubs from the models of Suzuki, Proton Inspira, Preve, Exora, Saga, Persona, Satria, Lotus, Mitsubishi Triton Tuners Club and MODENAS.

Visitors also took advantage of MODENAS’ free service specially catered for DRB HICOM Auto Fest. Other exhibitors also offered special promotion and exclusive deals for their brands which can only be grabbed at the venue.

PUSPAKOM mobile inspection unit was also available on site and offered free vehicle inspections to the early birds of the event.

As for indoor attractions, there were the showcase of Mitsubishi G4 Concept car exhibition, MODENAS new model launching, 118 EFI and Suzuki Jimny preview.

Kids were kept entertained throughout the event with activities like coloring contest, inflatable games, sand art and also clowns.

Several F&B stalls operated by Burger King, Pizza Hut and Rasamas were among the busiest area during the event days as the stalls were selling at a very competitive price.

The main attraction of this event was the chance to win the grand lucky draw of a new Proton SAGA SV and MODENAS CTRIC bikes. Visitors 18 years and above were required to fill-up a form to participate. Yours truly here had no such luck, I did not win any of those two >_<

All in all, it was truly a worthy event to attend. There were so many things to see and do, we are already looking forward for next year’s Auto Fest!
