Turbo movie date
Thanx to Nuffnang we got to catch Turbo at TGV, 1 Utama last night. Turbo is about a garden snail who has big dreams and a freak accident might just be the answer to everything.
We are so happy that it was not in 3D as I don’t really fancy wearing those 3D glasses throughout a movie and I think it’s safe to say that you won’t be missing a lot watching this in 2D except for those flying cut grass and rubbers and maybe snails. Maybe I DID miss a lot! >_<
Anyway, I went for this movie with a blank mind, not knowing who is who as I love trying to guess who’s the voice behind those animated characters and these are the few that can easily be recognized:
Ryan Reynolds as Theo (Turbo)
It took me some time to figure it out but I managed to guess just before the movie ends!
Samuel L. Jackson as Whiplash
Samuel L. Jackson as Whiplash is a no-brainer. You’ll see Samuel from the very FIRST moment you see Whiplash! They are so identical it’s almost impossible to tell them apart!
Michelle Rodriguez as Paz
When you mention Turbo, first thing that comes to mind is, “Is it similar to Fast & Furious?” Let’s just say that they are not at all similar BUT they do have ONE thing in common, they both have Michelle Rodrigues in it!
Snoop Dogg as Smooth Move
Snoop Dogg as Smooth Move is another easy guess. Come on, who else can look like that?!
Those are about it. I can’t guess anymore beyond those four.
Okay, if you ask me if Turbo is worth watching, I’ll say YES!
You’ll have to get rid of logic, forget common sense and most of all be a kid again to enjoy this movie. Ethan was laughing throughout the movie and so did Darling and I. If your kid hates tomatoes, you really got to bring him/her to watch this as by the end of the movie I guarantee your kid will be requesting for a round, juicy tomatoes to bite!
Ethan now can’t wait for our little tomato plant to grow big as he wants to see Turbo and friends on it! >_<
Anyway, I’m not going to touch much about the movie as I don’t want to be a spoiler but I tell you, it’s way much better than Monsters University. We were kept entertained throughout the entire movie and Darling did not fall asleep even once! It’s an awesome and hilarious animation to catch with your family.
What are you waiting for? Start your engine and go for it! Vroom vroom… *releasing in Malaysia on the 18th July 2013*
Eric dnt like tomatoes but this movie didnt change him! :< hahahaha actually the movie quite nice! hahaha i enjoyed it too
Eric OLD liao ler! I’m talking about kids who are still cute :P Muahahahahahahaha!
Storyline pretty much predictable but it’s unique in its own way… not so realistic about the movement of the snails. Don’t think they can even jump! LOL
NOW, Ethan wants to have snails as his pet >_<
buy him Turbo at KFC la :P
Snails are animated as if they move at human speed, which I take it as a literary device by itself.
ehhh… but i cannot tahan watching snails crawling… i mean racing for the whole movie wor xD
I love the story :) quite predictable la, but i liked how they portrayed Turbo as the underdog :p
Love this movie very much!~
Cute snail. Lots in my garden. Can collect them and poslaju over for Ethan… Hehehehehe!!!!
My girls would love to watch this..me too because it sounds like funny and relaxing to watch. We are due to have a round of movie after school exam and busy working..Thanx for sharing..
I don’t think Gwen wants to watch this movie…she hates snails.
wow. A snail movie. Sound fun to watch. Good luck with the tomato plant.
Oh, those voices behind the characters must be very familiar! Hehe..
The movie has gone to the extent of personifying snail physiology. How cool is that.
Aww…must be an awesome cartoon to watch.
