Pictures of the NEW Snow World @ Genting

After much anticipation, we finally landed in the all NEW Snow World, Genting today. Darling and I entered for free as we won the tickets earlier but we had to pay RM23 for Ethan. With World Card the rate will be RM21 instead but we forgot ours so… bleh!

First thing first. Each visit session only lasts for 40 minutes at scheduled hours. We bought ours for the 1.30-2.10pm session. At 1.30pm sharp, the gate is open and we’ll be directed to collect our jacket, boots and gloves. Jackets, boots and gloves rental are included with the purchase of Snow World entry ticket. You do not need to pay extra for them.

We are also reminded that NO camera and mobile phones are allowed in the Snow World. All belongings are to be kept in the lockers (FOC) provided.

Darling helping Ethan with his gloves. Kids just look super adorable being bundled up all warm and cosy like that, don’t they?

Once we entered Snow World, the drop of temperature is over-whelming. It was freeeeeeezing in there! So cold that it bites! This is also the reason why they ‘forbid’ us from bringing in our electrical gadgets. They are afraid our gadgets might die of frost bite :P

In Snow World, there will be lots of official photographers. You can get them to take pics of you and your family in whatever pose you wish but bare in mind, each picture will cost you RM40 in case you are interested to purchase it later. One tips though, get the photographers to capture as many pictures as possible and in the end, you go for the package that entitles you to bring home the DVD with all your pictures in it for RM175 only inclusive of one picha and a snow globe with your picture in it.

I dun know if I should write this here or not as I believe Resort World Genting will definitely read this one of these days but nvm, here goes. As I was walking in the Snow World, I felt a tinge of vibration in my pocket. That is when I realised I still have my iPhone with me! Hah! Nyek nyek…

So apa lagi, when the cats aren’t looking, the mice quickly get to work!

Darling and Ethan, faster faster POSE! K-chiakkkkkkk one pic captured. Quickly hide phone.

At the Lookout Point. Beautiful sight. Quickly, quickly take out phone.. Snap! Keep back under my jacket to keep it warm.

Darling tried the slide while I hide behind Ethan to steal a picha!

We ended up inside this green area without snow. Not too sure what this is but again, fasterly-fasterly get a picture!

Ethan loves witnessing the transition from daytime to nighttime.

We took shelter in the Warm House from time to time to keep ourselves warm but no use, we are still frozen so we had to get out to thaw us down before entering again. We went in and out several times to make sure our nose do not fall off our face! It is negative 6 (or was it -8?) in there!

We surrendered even before the 40 minutes are up. Ethan and I just can’t stand the frost..

Overall, our Snow World experience was a wonderful one as it was Ethan’s first time touching real fake snow. Real as in they are real ice, fake as in they are in a man-made enclosure. Hehe..

You can also view the Snow World from the outside if you do not wish to enter but you won’t be able to feel the bite lah…

But it was beautiful. Really beautiful. I bet we can take lots of nice pictures in there if we are allowed to bring in our cameras but kenot, you KENOT bring in your camera or phone you know. You’ll risk ruining them. Don’t follow my footstep! Silap silap you see my face plastered all over Snow World with a HUGE cross on it forbidding me from entering again in the future :P

I shrugged to think that if I was caught taking pictures with my fon just now, they might confiscate my phone and bury it in the deep, deep SNOW! Hah! Padan muka me that time!

Arthur, bringing u up to Genting is not a problem for us but I dare not bring you to Snow World as it is very slippery in there and knowing the mishap that happened to you in Sunway Lagoon, I think I’ll bring you elsewhere less slippery, maybe BOWLING! Hahaha… Glow In The Dark Bowling after 6pm!

Wah, the tambang masuk is quite expensive leh. Just top up a little more, the tambang is already same as the tambang for indoor theme park. Theme park can play whole day, but this one only for 40 minutes max. What contest was it that won you the adult tickets?

    • //

Alice, it was a blogging contest by Resorts World Genting in collaboration with Nuffnang.
