Awana Kijal, Golf, Beach and Spa Resort

The last we stepped foot in Terengganu was last year when we flew to Kuala Terengganu to go to Pulau Redang. We did not do much there then as we spent most of our time in Redang.

A couple of weeks ago, we went to Terengganu again. This time, we stayed in the 5 star Awana Kijal, Golf, Beach and Spa Resort.

Approximately 5 hour drive from KL, it wasn’t that bad as we stopped by Pak Su Seafood Restaurant for lunch before continuing our journey. We arrived at Awana Kijal, Golf, Beach and Spa Resort in no time! :D

Upon arrival, we were given cold towels to freshen up. It was such a welcoming gesture as we could really use it after that 5 hour journey ^_^

Not only that, we were served welcome drink too.

The very cute welcome drink (The guitar mug, not the boy :P)

I super love the refreshing mango and orange juice. We were instantly rejuvenated and proceeded to get the key to our room.

Our room is on Level 6 much to our delight.

I’m glad we got ourselves a spacious room with a large King sized bed and a comfy couch too.

The spacious bathroom has a window that opens to the bedroom. I love it but Ethan loves it better! He can’t stop going to and fro the bedroom to the bathroom >_<

What’s best, Darling and I can watch TV while keeping an eye of Ethan in the long bath:

We can see him splashing in the long bath from the bedroom ^_^

The view from our room is stunning. We like to call it the Triple View room as we can see the swimming pool, the sea and also the golf course on our left! It can’t get better than this. Being on Level 6 makes it even more amazing as we see things from a bird’s eye view :D

In the evening, we went exploring around the resort. Ethan got super excited when he saw this gigantic chess set:

My oh my, what big CHESS you have! ^_^

Not only that, they have this giant Snake & Ladder too. You know right that Snake & Ladder is Ethan’s favourite board game? You can imagine his delight that evening J

We went to the beach after that and Ethan had the time of his life playing on the white sandy beach <3

We lay on the sand, enjoying the sea breeze and soaking the evening sun on the private 7.6km beach.

Having the beach all to ourselves ^_^ Paradise right here in Awana Kijal, Golf, Beach & Spa Resort..

After Ethan is done with the beach, we went to check out the swimming pool.

Awana Kijal Wilderness Fort is awesome! There are many water slides of different sizes to cater to kids of different ages..

There is even safety landing mat attached to the slides so your child won’t hurt himself as he lands in the water. Now that’s a STAR point from a mommy’s point of view :D

Ethan having a splashing good time in the pool..

He super loves the mushroom shower!

He stood under the running water for quite a long time! He said it was a nice massage! Talking about massage, Darling accompanied Ethan for the remaining evening as I went to indulge in their award winning spa at Taman Sari Royal Heritage Spa ^_^

What’s a holiday at a Beach & Spa Resort if we don’t go for their spa right? Sorry for the blurry pic. I got my therapist to help me capture this using my phone ^_^

My therapist, Nurul Aini. She’s good!

Here at Taman Sari Royal Heritage Spa, they specialise in Javanese massage. Javanese massage is an oil-based massage that concentrates on healing and relaxation. It is very gentle and calming with each stroke techniques working to ease muscle and joint pain.

I extremely love it when my therapist rubs her palms together heating them up and placing her warmed up palm on my skin giving a deep soothing feeling, stimulating the body’s lymphatic system hence releasing its self-regenerative power.

Read the full entry of my Javanese massage experience here.

While waiting for me to complete my massage, Darling bathed Ethan and brought him to the Sports Club.

Ethan got super bouncy in the ball room! We normally get ball pool but here, we get a ROOM filled with balls! That boy turned to an Energizer bunny instantly, bouncing all around with the balls!

There’s even a TV to keep your child occupied. There’s also a normal sized Snake & Ladder game ^_^

Ethan played some more at the play area while waiting for me. He wanted to do some mug painting but that would have taken too much time and we were all quite hungry already as it is approaching dinner time.

Darling changed Ethan into a fresh clean tee as he was all wet from playing in the ball room and headed to Waterfall in Awana Kijal to have steamboat buffet dinner.

Ethan eating fried rice while waiting for Darling to get the steamboat ingredients.

Darling making sure we eat our greens ^_^

Some of the ingredients we had during the steamboat buffet. They serve lots of fresh ingredients ie fish, chicken, squid, prawns and more. I’ve always preferred fresh ingredients as opposed to those processed food so this is just fabulous!

The rest of the time when we were at the resort, on the days we did not go out, we dined at Restoran Kampong, a spacious place to dine with buffet spread served on top of a sampan!

The sampan with lots of food ^_^

Spacious and clean interior

I got to try their delicious nasi dagang with kari ikan tongkol..

And lemang with serunding too! I’ve never had lemang so soft and fragrant as this before!

We had our meals facing the swimming pool. So lovely…

We had a great time in Awana Kijal Golf, Beach and Spa Resort. It is a great place for relaxation. It’s very kid friendly and they have lots of activities to keep you occupied.

That’s all for this post before it becomes too long.

Coming up next is – What to do during your 3D/2N stay at Awana Kijal Golf, Beach and Spa Resort where I’ll be sharing about the Water Sports activities and tour you can choose from.

Stay tuned! ^_^

Tq for useful information. Btw how their staff service? it’s because i read from other blogger their staff a bit disrespectful or unfriendly with customer.

    • //

Seriously? We were fine during our trip there. They were helpful when we needed help to arrange for the firefly trip and all. I don’t encounter any problem with them..
