Dumb blonde moment
My life is rather a mundane routine. Every night before I go to bed, I’ll switch off the electric water dispenser and unplug it from the socket.
But I ALWAYS leave the other end attached to the dispenser.
When I was unwell, Darling helped me to switch off the dispenser. The next morning as usual, I pour out the cooled water and boil a fresh batch of water. I was still unwell so Darling had to prepare his own cereal drink. He went to get some hot water and noticed that there isn’t any.
He asked me, “When you boil water, do you actually checked if the light at BOIL is lit up?”
I went, “Erm… why? I switched ON the plug what…” (I’ve always hated it when he pops a question out of nowhere..)
“But it is NOT plugged in how to boil water liddat?!” he said while shaking his head in disbelief.
:( Darling.. my life is already filled with ABCs… don’t lah you go and add XYZs to me. Who ask you to cabut the wayar from the dispenser? I ALWAYS leave it there, don’t-lah cabut-cabut!

Ehem.. ehem.. happened to me before too! Just few weeks back, I went to prepare our rice for dinner, we always use a steamer so as usual I put the rice container into the steamer, switch on the timer on the steamer then go off. Half hour later when I hear the ‘ting’ sound from the steamer, I saw the rice still soak in the water cantik-cantik…. then only realised never on the plug. I thought the imer sound started means steamer on already maaaaaaaaa…
Btw, thanks for recommending the bike shop. My SIL bought her bike from there last year. Will check it out!

This is totally not a dumb blonde moment. Because it happens to me a lot. =p
But you have someone to look after you. So it’s fine. =)

Why unplug it? If you need hot water at midnite, then how?
