Lock My Flush

Public toilet ain’t exactly the best place I like to be in unless it is really necessary. And when the time comes that I seriously needed to go to one, I’ll do my best to minimize the things that I touch along the way knowing how WET and FILTHY public washrooms are in Malaysia!

When people say that washrooms can be the most dangerous room in a house or any other places, I totally agree with it when it comes to our public toilet. One false step and you’ll sure to slip and fall and be covered with yucky slime provided that you are lucky enough to survive the ordeal without breaking a bone or two.

What I am trying to say is, I see our public toilet as a total gross that I can’t imagine taking ANYTHING away from it. Why am I saying that?

Because I was in Giant today and I needed to pee so badly (due to that TWO bowls of Snowflake I had earlier -.-) and I saw this:

Why on Earth do they need to lock the flush? Are Malaysians that bad that the management has to resort to such drastic measure? I mean.. come ON!

Anyway, I can’t really be bothered. I just hurriedly did my business and got out from there ASAP.

Before I end, I just have ONE story to share. I remembered having Hi-Tea with Sheila Majid during one event not too long ago and she has this to say to us mothers that day. She said, “I always tell my children to wipe the toilet seat DRY before leaving the loo. If ALL of us do that, we can make our public toilet a better place”. She also urged all Mommies out there to cultivate this habit in our young ones to make our public toilet cleaner and safer for all to use.

I don’t know about the rest of you but I try to do that provided they have AMPLE of toilet paper around. But then I always read the sign on the wall that says, “When the tree disappear, so do your toilet papers” or something similar along that line lah! So how? Try to wipe dry the seat with minimal toilet paper knowing that the person using it next will wipe it even MORE before doing her business and if we are lucky, AFTER too.

I hate public toilet to the max, I try to avoid it by all means. But having 4 children with me, it is hard to avoid, though I try to delicate this task to my SiL and hub as much as possible. I am most grumpy shall the need arise for me to bring them there and I will remind them NOT to touch anything. I will scream at top notch the moment I see little hands attempt to hold on to the toilet seat or touch the wall.

Just the other day, I was at berjaya ts. Both my girls in one cubicle and I was standing right outside of the cubicle. The bitch at the next cubicle didnt know how to use the tap I suppose. Water splash on to my feet, so as my eldest daughter’s skirt and youngest pants. Initially I thought was my girls playing water inside, I scream at them. They screamed back ” mummy, not me. We didn’t even touch the tap”. You can imagine how furious I was with that bitch.

Giant toilet is one of the worst toilet I came across. The floor is wet and the stinky smell can make me faint. Once I brought Ethel to the toilet and the floor is so slippery, that Ethel tripped and fall on the floor….DAMN it!!

Totally AGREE with you! Giant’s toilet is the WORST toilet ever! It is ALWAYS wet and ALWAYS stinky! I’m so horrified to go!

I always go to the squat one. I have been to countries like Vietnam, Indonesia and Thailand. Mind you, all their public toilets are better than us here.
