Rejection comes early

I brought Ethan to Smaland, Ikea again yesterday. Yeah, it’s like his playground now. We go there like every other day! *okay for those of you who doesn’t know what is Smaland, read my previous post about it here*
Yet until today, I still don’t leave him there and go shopping. I still sit outside and go online from my iPhone.
So sometimes when I see him dangling from inside like the picture above, I’ll just wave to him, smile and blow some kisses. He used to love that very much and kept asking for more!
Yesterday, what happen was, he was playing with a boy and they both dangled like that looking at me. So I did the usual routine – wave, smile and blow kisses to them both. The boy laughed happily asking Ethan who am I to which Ethan replied, “My mother”
An hour later when I collected Ethan, he reprimanded me. Our conversation goes like this…
Ethan: Mummy, next time you don’t wave at me.
Me : Why can’t I?
Ethan : I shy-lah! Next time I’m with friends, you don’t wave, don’t look oso!
Me : Then what is Mummy supposed to do?
Ethan : You just sit there and check your phone enough!
Me : @_@
Darling and I sent him to school today. We usually hug and kiss before he left for school. Today, his teacher is at the gate and I asked him if he wants to hug and kiss, he said, “NO”.
Ethan : Can hug and kiss at home only….
There goes my little boy. All grown up at just 4 years old! -_-
