Delectable Amoy @ San Shu Gong
The other day after spending the day at Casa del Rio and taking the River Cruise, we dropped by San Shu Gong for some snacks.
San Shu Gong is located at 33, Jonker Street in Malacca which is just next to the famous Hoe Kee chicken rice restaurant.
Before we even entered the place, we came across this smalll corner with this cute machine going on..
Curiosity got the best of me so I went to check and saw cute little fish scattered around.
Still not knowing what it was, I bought a box of the so-called Amoy Yuan Yang Waffle!
6 Amoys in a box
Selling at RM1.50 each I got it cheaper buying 6 in a box. I think I paid RM7.50 for that.
I simply love the box! NICE!
Ethan still indecisive whether to eat or not to eat the fish
Hmm… It does look appetising!
Ahhh… So it’s soft too!
Gasak-lah! Makan jugak!
Nom nom nom! Fragrant and yummy, it tastes just like Kuih Bahulu!
Just that this one has pandan kaya fillings in it!
See? Pandan kaya fillings. I think it will taste better if MORE fillings are to be pumped into the waffle but Ethan loves it nevertheless. Ethan, Darling and I each ate 2 fish. Before we left, we bought another box for my parents and nieces and guess what? My nieces love it to bits! This Amoy certainly goes well with kids

Gosh! Those are classic & traditional foods. It reminds me of Fortune Cookies but did you know that although Fortune Cookies are not a traditional Chinese custom as most of think it is, it still taste better in China. and another is that Tea is always offered to a guest immediately upon entering a Chinese home. Just some food trivia.
