Understanding Nuffnang to earn with Nuffnang

Why is it that each time I go for a blogger’s meet up, the first thing they ask me (after all the formalities) is, “How do you earn with Nuffnang?” I seriously think that this question is best forwarded to Nuffnang’s helpdesk as they are the right person to answer. Who am I to even attempt answering that question, right?
But I do have my two cents worth though. Wanna know? Read on.
Before you can even start earning from blogging, you need it to be ‘sell-able’..
#1 Make a brand out of your blog
There are more than 170K bloggers under Nuffnang at the moment. You need to do all you can to stand out to be noticed. You can’t just be another Tom, Harry or worse, Dick! (okay, so my sequencing fails there! :P)
Don’t be just another Fong Ah Kow. Be a FAK-er instead! Imagine reading a blog by Ah Kow.. moo moo!
Now, imagine reading a blog by FAK-er Dude! Happening!!! You see what I mean? :P
#2 Time is of the essence
Do you realise that when you check your blog early in the morning you’ll usually be able to see the ads where else by night time it will usually go on ‘hiding’?
You must understand that Nuffnang’s day starts at 12 midnight. That means ad allocations start at midnight too. What does that mean?
It means, do your best to fish for readers to come to your blog at midnight. First come, first serve right? More readers at midnight means generating more income from your ad campaign until all clicks are utilised and ads no longer appear in your blog for the day. In other words, ‘sapu’ them all before the allocation habis…

See? I oso failed in fishing.. Readership so low :(
#3 Readers
Get more local readers if you want to earn with Nuffnang. Those readers from US will not be able to view your ad hence they won’t help in generating income.
#4 Niche
Be a niche blog. Identify what is the strongest selling point of your blog. Stay niche. Only then can your blog be the target of advertisers.
If you don’t even know what your blog is about, how do you expect your agency to sell it to clients?
#5 Content
Be as informative as possible. Keep your blog alive and active. No advertisers wanna place ads on ‘dead’ blogs. Enuf said..
Now.. I think it’s better for you to write to their Helpdesk..
