Fried Ice-Cream anyone?
My nieces have been raving endlessly about the fried ice-cream from Jonker Walk. I, who have never been to Jonker Walk previously can just sulk in the corner whenever they mentioned the fried ice-cream. But not anymore for I, da Submerryn have finally conquered Jonker Walk a week ago where I also found something long and springy and fell in love with it! Read about the amazing long stuff here
I went to Jonker Walk with a mission – to find fried ice-cream!
Imagine my delight after walking through the humid and crowded street I finally found it! Actually I did not realised it until my Dad pointed it out to me
Fried egg ice-cream. Selling at RM2.00 each. You can choose either Rainbow or Tripple. Rainbow consists of a colourful ice-cream while Tripple is a combination of three flavours.
Once we placed our orders, they’ll take the egg bread out of their freezer and …
toss them into the hot oil and fry for a few seconds.
Out came the golden fried egg ice-cream bread
Sink my teeth into it. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh… finally! After listening about it for sooooo long, I finally had a taste of what Jonker Walk’s fried ice-cream is all about! The bread tastes exactly like bread being soaked in egg and fried aka roti telor but combined with the ice-cream, it is delicious.
Jonker Walk, I’ll be BACK!

I also didn't notice this when I was in Jonker walk on many occassions. In fact, I was in Melaka very often a decade ago for some 'personal' projects…. :p OK,maybe it's time to visit Melaka again and try this fried ice-cream as well as your long potato….

This is some awesome food. Sigh, I went Jonker Street a few times already, but didn't try that. Blame it on my ignorance coz I did not know its even available.
