Getting Children to Eat Healthy Forum

We were at Menara Star last Saturday for ParenThots“Getting Children to Eat Healthy Forum”.
The audience deep in thoughts. I was not there in the crowd though.  Want to know why? Read on…
Paediatrician Dr Azam Mohd Nor explaining that children’s growth slows down after a certain period.
Gourmet Goo and Dish Deli co-owner Heidi Shamsuddin.
Dietititian Nor Lizawati Che’ Lah.
Ethan had so much fun playing!
I was next door crafting with the kids. ParenThots were thoughtful enough to prepare a kids’ room for the kids to play, colour and craft so the parents can attend the forum without ‘distraction’.
Some of the kids’ interpretation of healthy food – watermelon, fish and oranges :D
Light refreshments being served after the forum
Here are the items we found in our goodie bag:
Cherub Rubs samples, RM500 voucher and one day free trial class from The Junior Academy, Young Parents Magazine and Barney Magazine (both from MPH), Fisher-Price baby bibs, Salon Pas patch samples, Curcuma Plus Strawberry Flavoured Cod Liver Oil, Novalac Growing Up Milk, Bye-bye Fever samples and a cute ParenThots Tee.
Ethan loves the Barney activity book so much that the first thing he did upon reaching home was to colour a page or two. He did not even let me change his clothes!
He loves writing :D
There! When I asked him why he left the ELEPHANT, BUTTERFLY and TORTOISE empty, he answered, “So long! Where got enough space?” Look at the ‘O’ in his FROG, BESAR-NYER!
It was a fantastic day. Too bad I was not able to sit in the forum as the feedback I got from parents were GREAT! They loved the fact that the forum was short and straight to the point.
Bravo to ParenThots, Brigitte Rozario and her lovely army of volunteers for organising such a successful event!

Yes. It is important to get children to eat healthy. :( It used to be very easy in the past. Is it because we are pampering them too much?
